“You must have been in a deep sleep for awhile.”

Not at all, but I foresee the election in terms of the possibility of loosing the Senate along with the Presidency if Hitlary closes the deal. And if that happens, it will be much worse than Obama. The RINOs have largely been ineffective, but at least they’ve kept onerous gun legislation from passing.

Maybe the next horrific attack will change some minds .... and there WILL be another horrific attack.

There's an old Will Rogers quote:
There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

You would think that Paris would be the "electric fence" moment, but I guess not ... still in the 'observation' stage. The attack(s) that serves as the electric fence learning experience that is finally "convincing" is going to be more than painful ... too bad these EU (Merkel, et al) idiots are willing to sacrifice their own citizens for importing terrorists (same thing going on in the US w/Syrian refugees).

Wow. We’re seeing a replay of European stupidity that spawned the Nazi movement. Absolutely stunning.

If it ever happens to the Oligarchs, the policy will change the next day.

IMHO you have to understand that as long as the current policy remains place none of its authors or supporters can be held responsible.

If (when?) the policy is officially reversed then all of the shady backroom deals come out and the plan’s authors and supporters will be revealed for what they are. And, possibly they will be held accountable if not by the government then by the average citizen in some very public and private ways.

Remember the French Terror (1783 - 1794) at the beginning of the French Revolution with 40,000 “legal” executions. That piece of history is never far from the individual and collective memories of French politicians.
