Well, at the time they were married wiener hadn’t self-destructed yet. He was an upcoming congressman and word was on track for far greater things. It was after the marriage that he was fully revealed as a first rate pervert. By then, too obvious to ditch him as Ashe was already pregnant. Too high profile and obvious I suppose?
Let’s not forget that Bill Clinton officiated at the seemingly unlikely wedding of Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner. Huma has already part of the Clinton “family” from the time she attached herself to the Clintons as a White House intern, who became Hillary’s aide...and never left her side to this day. The press was at that period talking about Weiner as a possible VP candidate. Fast forward: Huma worked as a propaganda writer for the Muslim Brotherhood even as she was working next to Hillary in the State Department. Her parents (frather now deceased) and brother are Muslim Brotherhood propagandists. Hillary knew better than anyone what Huma is. Hillary and her chief of staff enabled Huma to be indispensable to Hillary.
