Really? So what was the purpose of the “natural born” language in the first place then?

It’s someone who doesn’t have to be naturalized, that’s all. Did Ted ever have to take an oath to become a citizen? No. To me, the entire discussion is bizarre.

If Rubio is truly the most electable in a general election, it sets up a bit of game theory:

Do we go with Rubio, because a leftwing Supreme Court is unthinkable, but knowing for a certainly that Rubio will increase third world migration into our homeland (via Amnesty and visa increases)?

Or do we pick a weaker general-election candidate who will certainly stop a left-wing court, Cruz, but will likely keep third world migration at current levels?

Or do we pick a candidate, Trump, who might be the least likely to win a general, and whose court picks are subject to his volatility, but is the only candidate who might actually decrease third world migration into our homeland (again subject to his volatility)?

This is really not complicated, but people who desperately want Cruz can’t see it. Natural born had a specific meaning when the Constitution was ratified. It obviously.. OBVIOUSLY, meant something more that citizen. So simply being a citizen, even a citizen at birth, MIGHT NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS of presidential eligibility. Now, you believe that as long as you don’t take an oath you are natural born, but taking an oath is only a requirement BECAUSE OF AN ACT OF CONGRESS. Congress could, tomorrow, pass a law proclaiming birth outside the jurisdiction of the U.S. to one citizen parent precluded automatic citizenship. Agree? They could, right? The only thing they can’t do is pass a law precluding citizenship for people born on the soil, to TWO PARENTS WHO ARE CITIZENS. That citizenship is NATURAL. Thank you for playing.

Were our Founders really that stupid to have made such an irrelevant, pointless distinction? Absolutely not.

That we are about to put into office [if he wins] a man [on the Right?] who has as much blood on his hands as any other pro-abort, tells us what dire condition our country is in.

This from Ted Cruz on a recently released video:

Cruz says prolife “more than just a litmus test but a window to the soul of political candidates.”

But so few seem to care...

The Carson story is offensive bs. Carson has no one to blame but his own staff for putting that story out there. What a bunch of blame shifting crybabies.
