Trump won this category as well!

Hypothetical matchups this far out are a complete waste of time.

Don’t you remember how Romney needed to be the nominee because he “crushed” Obama in the hypotheticals?

It’s about as useful as saying Ted Cruz is the only candidate who can beat Big Bird in November.

These matchups are a misleading way for the Establishment to foist their candidates on you. It plants the seed in your head that your candidate is doomed, and their candidate is the only hope.

The only hypothetical matchup that matters is the personal sniff test each individual gives to a candidate before deciding to support someone. “Is this person more generally appealing to me than [whoever]?”

Going with your own best instincts on that question is infinitely better than caring about PAC, MSM, and internal “hypothetical polls”. They are BS. The R vs. D polling doesn’t matter until the candidates on each side are written in stone.

Then stay with Cruz..( personally I prefer Trump’s pleasant face & great smile)

Trump has toned down, is toning down his rhetoric

....and his fans love his facial expressions!

It doesn’t matter what gets faced.

Trump is winning. That is reality.

“purpose of Trump is to divide conservatives...Just like in 2012, Conservatives stayed home”

Well he’s not doing a very good job of it, since he’s also winning the conservative vote at this point.

Isn’t it strange....used to be winning among the “very conservative” group was what FR wanted. Not any more. It’s pro ethanol cronyism and 9-11 trutherism and falling in love with a big man to run a big powerful government to do great government things and great government deals.

Like that’s ever worked in world history.....

Actually, Conservatives did not stay home Christians did. They would not vote for a Mormon. I looked at the numbers, it was fundamental Christians that did not vote for Romney and who could blame them.

Cruz is not a very good candidate for conservatives.

He really isn’t. He should have taken some time and built up his following with the people.

Cruz would win head to head with Trump.

Sorry but there's no polling information out this week that comes anywhere near supporting that statement. Cruz isn't even really running second anymore...he's now behind Rubio.

I have felt for awhile that Trump would get the nomination. No surprise. Trump has successfully lied about Cruz. The MSM knows that Trump will be destroyed in the General Election. His negatives among the General Electorate are historically high. So the MSM will get what they want a dem president congrats the republic will be gone.

Wonder what he and Bill Clinton talked about before he announced.

But yesterday Ted Cruz remembered my long ago donation and I received a letter in the mail & on the envelope says there’s a check enclosed!!!

Well, he actually wanted ME to enclose a check so he could match it....sheesh!

I got the same fund raising letter on Monday. Well, not Monday, that's just when I got my mail. I only go to the mailbox about twice a week. But I had to laugh when I saw the return address said Senator Ted Cruz and it read 'check enclosed' on the outside of the envelope.

Morning Joe made a good point......everytime Obama opens his mouth ......Trump gets stronger.

Americans watched the wimp-in-chief lacerate Trump at the Asean confab.......Trump strength never looked better.

BTW, Mika and Joe will moderate a Trump town hall tonight on MSNBC.

——Cruz only winning in the “Very Conservative Group” and is losing evangelicals to Trump by 5 points——

As one of the two cited groups you are in a definite decreasing minority.

In the world at large, Cruz has little support as evidenced by the citation above

that is not a derogatory personal statement, it is what appears to be emerging fact
