Where is this you you speak of? The Democrats I know have an arsenal to protect themselves from other Democrat-types performing a home invasion against them.

Definitely serious. They need the hands- on aspect to learn good safety principles and operating skills - although book- learning helps and should be part of it, yes. Think about it anyway, please. (Now, millions of them have firearms - they’re almost ubiquitous in many cities — but many owners have never had a good training class for them. This is like drivers training classes which include behind the wheel safety lessons as well as book learning . I realize the cars are involved in far more accidents but the same idea could, IMHO, extend to pistols and rifles too. )l
Yes, it does. The courage to confront the REAL cause of the violence, even though it is not politically correct, and then to demand change. Instead, these cowards parade around waving their bloody shirts and take the easy way out by becoming pawns in an ineffective, liberty-robbing charade.
A lot of schools dropped their firearms training and rifle target practice classes years ago. And many also dropped drivers training. ( and a lot of other practical classes, wood/metal/electronics/auto shops too!). I guess they needed to make time for gender-bender studies ( lab included?) , community organizing ( whatever the hell that is), and islamonazi training
Ok...training and hands on experience is good in a classroom teaching situation...
But you said issuing a weapon to every freshman student in any major US urban or suburban city is a good idea...!

Used to be commonplace practical training. Best I can do is recall the past. Can’t seem to make things better today, ha. ( and worry a bit how long I’ll be able to recall the old days, too, ha!). Anyways, you may enjoy:

Do the media and the liberals remember that the only reason she is alive is that Judge White, Federal judge, stepped in front of her to shield her from the deadly bullet he took in her place. He was an adamant supporter of the Sec Amendment, and a strong conservative federal judge, which made him so hated by the left. He was replaced by a liberal, of course. But Gabby is the hero and White is dead.
