Wow...I don’t know why, but I thought he’d died a while back. RIP George.
Sat next to him in a restaurant one time, dude was huge!!
RIP George, ya done good!
I have a lot of good memories related to George and his movie rolls.
It’s sad to see some of these folks shoving off from this existence.
Good Guy
OMG how sad another Hollywood Legend has left us. I remember him in Earthquake and the Airplane movies.
RIP MR. KENNEDY - Thank you very much for your service to our nation.
“He enlisted in the Army during World War II and went on to serve 16 years, both in combat, and in his later years, as an Armed Forces Radio and Television officer.”
“As a US Army officer in WWII, he served under Gen. George S. Patton, and later went on to portray Patton in Brass Target (1978).”
“Before his acting career really took off, he served as a military consultant on The Phil Silvers Show (1955).”
News like this makes me feel my age creeping on. The old joke about checking the obits before breakfast are not so amusing anymore.
George Kennedy was one of those good actors who straddled the line between ‘Character Actor’ and top ‘B’ Actor. Not quite good enough on his own to sell a movie on the marquee but counted upon to be a great support for whatever role he was cast in.
R.I.P. - you will be remembered in many a rerun!
RIP George.
RIP George, what an actor and what a resume he has.
Thanks for all the entertainment.

He was a fantastic actor who could play any kind of role. RIP.
WOW! R.I.P., sir
love
(I have a picture of George Kennedy with my dad my dad worked at MGM Grand in Las Vegas and knew several movie personalities)
Will always remember him in “The Human Factor.” I was a naive teen in 1975. The gripping drama has stayed with me all these years. And who can ever forget his great performance in Airport. Great actor. May he rest in peace.
A versatile actor. Rest in peace.
He was in one movie with Goldie Hawn’s husband in the lead
where he played one of the villians who kidnapped Hawn’s
husband’s wife (not Goldie, but some other woman). He
was dastardly, drove a truck. That movie was exhausting!
Ends with Goldie’s husband & woman who played his wife
sitting on a bridge after his wife had cut the cable
holding a semi where it would fall & crush the bad guy.
There were other bad guys in the film; so I don’t remember
who it was that got squshed by the semi. - I’ll bet he was
a nice man. RIP.
RIP, George. One of my favorite actors.
Great character in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot!
RIP.
Joe Patroni: That's one nice thing about the 707. It can do everything BUT read.
Will never forget him in this role . Positively BADASS. Rest in Peace
John Wayne says hello to George Kennedy.
