Let’s play back just one of the question & answer pieces from this past Thursday.

A Fox person (I forget which now), asked Trump about divulging contents of a ‘tape’ with an NYT reporter. Trump refused. The parry went back and forth a bit. It dropped.

Within a minute or two, or less, Cruz came along with the question of what was in the tape and if it was so innocent, why not release contents. Cruz then pointed to the Fox person, asking for a ‘decision’ and agreement. The back and forth escalated. It now baited Trump into anger.

Cruz then took the angle that Trump’s refusal to release was suspicious. Cruz bore down on Trump, complete with a back a forth getting ugly. Eventually, Cruz raised his voice, trying to ‘get his word in edgewise’ over the Fox person (Megyn, IIRC) agreeing with Cruz and trying to get the reporter to give Cruz more time.

Eventually, Cruz had to die down.

It came out after the debate that the NYT admitted there was nothing in the tape of any importance.

This tactic has worked to 1) impugn Trump as untruthful, 2) make Cruz look like a truth seeker, and 3) make Cruz look like a victim of Trump’s villainous non-compliance with an issue.

Cruz goes on offense against a possible, however unlikely, bad thing of Trump, push for a win, reframe to make the wording of what is a lie a fact, and then, voila! Win.

Cruz has done this several times in the debates. He now has Kelly, Wallace, Baer, and the NYT in on it.

Tell me there’s not coordination, and I’ll tell you a 30 point poll swing is predictable.

Yep...great recap and analysis.

Coordinated, indeed. Hey....wasn’t this just as CRuz was taking in ¡Jeb!’s financial folks?

That alone stinks on ice. To brag about taking in Jeb’s financial team, just reeks of establishment slime.

That surprised me.

Thought he would lose there and maybe show better in Kentucky.

Just ‘shows to go you!’

#21 Nonsense! Trump got outted by his own deeds. Donating to hillary’s 08 Campaign 4 times, Screwing over Trump Univ. Attendants, importing foeiegn workers, fined for hiring illegal polish workers. Having his clothing lines made by child labor in mexico and china is what did him in.

The focus has gone from his big mouth to his history and deeds.

Kentucky poll on RCP had Trump up by 13. Currently up by 7. Most recent Kansas poll had Trump by 6. He lost by 25. FWIW.

Yes, that was a line to vote in Kentucky. The picture was on Twitter. And I’m very surprised over Maine as well. Kansas too actually. We’re very pleased in this household that he took two.

No.

Here is another instance, since you brought it up.

The suits against Trump U now include 3 people.

The woman who received $800,000 +/- in legal fees had paid $15,000 to attend said ‘U.’ But she can afford $800,000+/- in legal fees? Really?

Bunk.

As for not getting what she paid for, I dare most of the people reading this post to swear on a Bible that they’ve never paid for something similar. Before you say, “I didn’t,” let me say I did.

I sat in on courses for a license myself. Problem is, I learned the hard way that I can’t sell well. It’s not my area.

So, I have a cause of action to get money from the place that offered the courses? Really?

Trump has 500+ businesses. Four have gone bankrupt. Those are great odds.

Were people hurt? Yes.

On the other hand, neither Cruz, Rubio, nor Kasich run or ever have run businesses. But as part of the government, they are running the US in its entirety into the ground. All the way through to China.

The Texas polls for Cruz were way high too. They were ok in Oklahoma.

I have learned a term for what I have just described: a Cochran. From OJ’s lawyer, Johnnie Cochran.

Create the appearance of impropriety without crossing a ‘legal line,’ and, once enough appearance is created, let the line of attack drop.

“Importing foreign workers and fined for hiring illegal Polish workers.”

30+ years ago. Trump didn’t hire them. His contractor did.

Here’s another one. And yes. It’s MINE.

We had our roof replaced a few years ago after a storm. An old boy recommended by our neighbor came along, and we said, “OK.”

We found out that the three guys who came to work the project were from Mexico (thanks to one of us who speaks same as a foreign language) and that they were being put up in a small apartment. The contractor came up, heard the conversation, got those guys back on the roof, finished and out of there by COB the next day. Poof. They were gone.

So, did Chez Boots hire foreign workers for a song? No.

As a matter of fact, we paid the going rate. Someone came out just fine, now, didn’t he.

As for having clothing made in Mexico and China, I have another one.

I CAN’T FIND what I wear made in America for a price that I can afford. Ditto for anything remotely relating to being something we use or give as holiday presents. Not on our salaries.

I DARE anyone reading this post to come to a similar conclusion.

Go look yourselves. Children’s Tennis shoes. Socks/tights. Pants. Tops.

I’m serious.

Can your monthly family clothing budget take a hit to the tune of 50% or more to buy American?
