Trump’s multiplying Republican apologists do not deny the self-evident — that he is ... clueless..... These invertebrate Republicans assume that as president he would surround himself with people unlike himself — wise and temperate advisers.

Wow - so those of us who are not even suporters of the GoPe are somehow spineless Republican apologists?

And we should continue listening to the foreign policy experts who created the vacuum in Syria that Putin marched into?

George, your friends are no longer high minded public servants. They are lazy crony capitalists.

McConnell was dead wrong to let the cat out of the bag. He should have remained silent: then Stonewalled until hell froze over.

If the GOPe continues trashing the frontrunner and ends up losing the Senate and possibly the House in the process, then this Supreme Court pick is probably as conservative as it gets. If George Will is advocating confirmation, you can bet that is because he and his ilk fully intend to burn down the GOP house.

Personally, and I’m likely to make no friends for saying this, I don’t think this guy could possibly be as horrible a pick as Roberts. He should get a fair hearing.

George Will is no 1) William F. Buckley, Jr.; 2) Barry Goldwater; 3) Ronald Reagan. George Will is Peewee Herman.

No George, what’s indefensible is you being called a “Conservative”

George doesn’t even have enough integrity to come out of the closet.

RE: George Will, finally coming out in the open.

Finally? He was out in the open urging Americans to accept all those young unaccompanied Central American teens streaming across the border to our communities, feed them, educate them and legalize them.

Said Will, prescribing a sweeping solution for the 57,000 unaccompanied Central American youth, “We ought to say to these children, ‘Welcome to America. You’re going to go to school and get a job and become Americans.’”

Applying some arithmetic, Will added: “We have 3,141 counties in this country. That would be 20 [children] per county. The idea that we can’t assimilate these 8-year-old ‘criminals’ with their teddy bears is preposterous.”

It’s called checks & balances. It’s supposed to work this way. Each branch roadblocks the other so the government has less ability to screw us.

In this case we have a President who violates the Constitution on a daily basis, who has continually usurped legislative authority, pissed on and ignored judicial authority, who is essentially acting in a dictatorial mode with numerous illegal EOs.

Will may as well say that congress should automatically pass whatever budget he submits.

Is there any chance Obama would nominate a constitutionalist?

If he was a constitutionalist, would Obama have nominated him?

If he isn’t a constitutionalist, does he have any business being on the Court?

And if he has no business on the Court, should we waste our time pretending to consider him?

The preposterous premise is that the Court will be "politicized" unless vacancies are left vacant until a political campaign registers public opinion about, say, "Chevron deference."

If the election were held today, who would be
your first choice for President of the United States?

Who would be your first choice for Donald Trump's running mate?
Who would be your first choice for Donald Trump's running mate?

For a guy that loves baseball so much you sure don’t recognize hardball. The Dems have denied, filibustered and refused to schedule votes on Republican nominees. Just because there’s an election in the mix, suddenly the tactic is invalid? Get a grip, George.

Didn’t Obama win the nobel peace prize before he took office. How’s that working out for you?
