Getting hooked these days is much more lethal...
I was all grown up in the 80s and living in Hawaii, where Operation Green Harvest turned all the young pot heads into meth heads. Big improvement /s
The war on drugs, gangs, and terrorism have much in common.
You said it. Nancy’s message was direct and to the point: “Just Say No.”
Pot is a gateway drug.
If it weren’t, then the drug use would have stopped.

Great post. It is good to see someone post actual data as opposed to anecdotal nonsense about the drug war.
yeah, you’re right on the addicts themselves
No, alcohol and tobacco are.
The only reason pot could be a gateway drug is the fact that people try it and then say "What the heck is the big deal? The government wants to put people in prison for owning this? For possessing the wrong plant which was created by God?
Armed with growing skepticism and distrust of government, people then try other, harder drugs, because of the experience they've had with government being so hysterically propagandist about marijuana.
Gateway drug, my dimpled ass.
The Tyrannical Prohibitionist Mind is indeed something to behold...
Forgive me for not taking a disgruntled old man’s “confession”, as recounted in a pro-drug magazine, as gospel.
Last poster just gave evidence it was.
they make porcelain figurines of Porky Pig?
of course, you’re right. I have to agree.
I still think roxy, heroin and crack have to be illegal to sell.
NEVER met a casual user of any of those three. And if they are, they aren’t for long.
Alcohol can be brutal, but Every one of my friends drank in their teens and twenties and cut down maybe 90 percent after that.
pot, whatever lol.
but the others, try something better than 1,000 orgasms and see how easy it is to EVER think of anything else.
In Germany and Japan, we killed as many as we needed to kill, then we reeducated.
we obviously can’t kill drug users. so rehab is the best route, but from what I’ve seen, boy, the odds of it taking hold are low.
gangs, you’d have to change the entire black and Hispanic underculture, and that’s a disease of the country. I have NO IDEA what to do with that.
terrorism. KILL the terrorists. Just like NAZIs.
deport the group that sprouts them, muslims.
isolate the mid east and bring HELL to any country we can trace a terrorist act back to. That one person now represents their entire country. See if that helps
Mexican transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) remain the greatest criminal drug threat to the United
States; no other group can challenge them in the near term. These Mexican poly-drug organizations
traffic heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana throughout the United States, using established
transportation routes and distribution networks. They control drug trafficking across the Southwest
Border and are moving to expand their share of US illicit drug markets, particularly heroin markets.
National-level gangs and neighborhood gangs continue to form relationships with Mexican TCOs to
increase profits for the gangs through drug distribution and transportation, for the enforcement of drug
payments, and for protection of drug transportation corridors from use by rival gangs.
From chart two above. Seem like a lot of heroin and meth going on even as marijuana has been decriminalized.
Also notice the Mexican connection.
how the hell do you stop that without a full scale invasion of Mexico?
and all the other countries?
the kids out here got addicted to roxys and now that they are hard to get are addicted to heroin.
WT# are middle class ethnic white kids doing TAKING THIS STUFF!!
out of THIRTY of us, some did some coke. maybe 3. who could afford it? we got drunk a lot. Then grew up and stopped.
I know these roxys have helped people with pain but big pharma PROMISED it was only going to be used on cancer patients.
then bad backs.
then hangnails.
then after millions got addicted, they created suboxone to get people off the roxys, but suboxone is an partial antagonist, so it’s still an opiate.
I know, the addicts aren’t innocent. Big Pharma is guilty as hell too.
everyone here in their 40s and older can talk big now, but how about if we were 18 and handed something at the doctors like candy, which made you feel INCREDIBLE.
I can’t say I wouldn’t have gotten addicted.
Dead potheads everywhere....
We can start by getting control of the border.
Trump and Cruz are both for it. And send back the ~600K illegal criminals that are here.
I am not trying to stir up debate here.
Just interesting that the drug problem has exploded and its relationship to the border issue.
And a government document admits the relationship!
Unreal!
