Do you think your efforts to strawman people yield any benefit to you?
To characterize your opposition as supporting ISIS is just disingenuous.
During the Apple/FBI IPhone flap, I pointed out that people on one side no more favored intrusive government surveillance than did those opposed to unlocking the phone, support terrorism.
You are taking the tack that because someone does not give a sh*t about some Baal temples being blown up, they must favor the terrorists.
No, it's perfectly reasonable to give a f*** less about Baal temples and still want to see ISIS destroyed.
Amazing.
I think they tortured and murdered plenty of people who were not Christian. And it wasn't just a cult doing it, it was the most powerful nation on Earth at the time.
You give in easily to weak and/or false comparisons.
It cannot be any worse than this temple to Satan's head minion.
No, and I refuse to watch a second of it. I recognize it for what it is; a vehicle to push the envelope a little bit further.
They did the exact same thing with "Soap", "Three's Company", "Will and Grace", "Glee", and "Modern Family."
If we don't separate the Nation from the influence of Los Angeles and New York, it is destined to devolve into a cesspool of violence and death.
I wasn’t targeting you. It was a general comment. Sorry.
Cronkite .. Nekkid amidst his peers?
‘And that’s the way it is.’
Try getting an invite. ;-)
Bohemian Grove is absolutely real. It’s probably not Moloch ... there’s no connection between Moloch and an owl ... but does the lack of connection matter? It’s still purposely evocative of pagan sacrifice.
But they came to Baal-peor,
and consecrated themselves to a thing of shame,
and became detestable like the thing they loved.
Ephraims glory shall fly away like a bird:
no birth, no pregnancy, no conception!
Even if they bring forth children,
I will bereave them until no one is left.
Woe to them indeed
when I depart from them!
Once I saw Ephraim as a young palm planted in a lovely meadow,
but now Ephraim must must bring forth his children for slaughter.
Give them, O Lord---
what will you give?
Give them a miscarrying womb
and dry breasts.
Evidently, whatever it was they did brought on reproductive catastrophe.
Sounds like some kind of infectious plague that would make some of them infertile, lead others to miscarriage or stillbirth, or result to the death of their infants at a young age.
Bacterial infection? Retrovirus? Divine judgment in the most just way possible, by natural and logical consequences of their own choices,
Whatever: if the wanted sterile sex, they got what they wanted. Good and hard.
My post is not about whether a given item on that site is true, just a friendly warning about invoking it elsewhere on this site.
The Religion Moderator profile lists that site as a "forbidden" source under "Guidelines concerning Hatred on the Religion Forum." If I interpret the example correctly, posts even simply mentioning that site will probably be removed from the Religion Forum.
Minor note: the second of my two paragraphs (the one with the link) is now, at least for me, entirely in red. If it appears red to anyone else, I don’t know why, and as you can guess by now, I didn’t intend it to be.
[[theres no connection between Moloch and an owl]]
Actually i believe there is
I did not realize that the site was banned- would you by any change know why they consider it ‘invoking hatred’?
The owl is often associated with ‘going into the darkness to achieve wisdom’ and associated with dark arts and dark practices - The owl is also seen as being the souls of departed ancestors- (apparently because it’s usually seen at night- Day being associated with life, night being associated with death/afterlife)
[[Molech (also known as Moloch, Molek, Melech, or Minervas Owl) most of the time represented by an owl, was an ancient Near Eastern deity worshiped by several cultures. ]]

Or they could have completely turned to homosexual lifestyle— Homosexuals can’t conceive- and htis abomination was a very bad deal to proactice- and likely why cults and false worship turned to it out of blatant disrespect for the Nature of lfie that God created and called good-
The whoel bohemian grove issue is steeped in homosexuality and hedonism and child sacrifice (abortion and celebrating child sacrifice) which doesn’t value the life of a child
[[or result to the death of their infants at a young age.]]
It coudl be too, that Those that did mate with opposite sex would conceive, and bring forth a child into a massively sinful culture, and that child would grow up in rebellion and hatred and be a constant source of misery for the parent, and would grow up homosexual and not mate with opposite sex until the generations had passed away until noone was left-
Those are all possibilities. The abomination of desolation.
[[No, and I refuse to watch a second of it. I recognize it for what it is; a vehicle to push the envelope a little bit further. ]]
Exactly, sadly though many will see it as ‘cute’ ‘innocent fun’ ‘taking a serious issue and making light of it’ etc etc etc- and not see anything wrong with watching it- Just like many will not see anything wrong with erecting the gates of Baal- the issue is that people become callous to such sin- and don’t view it as serious- some even being enticed to ‘explore the dark side’ further thanks to these things being brought to their attention- It’s NOT just innocent fun- nor simply an solely a case of ‘cultural awareness’
And like servantboy777 said before, “our God commands us NOT to do this sort of stuff.” It’s not just innocent clean fun- not when it can and does affect people and draw them to evil and disobedience to God
God Destroyed some things, many relics, many great architectural buildings, many prominent cultures and Evil religions, because those cultures were extremely vile, nasty, and evil- but He did allow some to remain- for whatever Reason He had- but that doesn’t mean we have to celebrate them or bring attention to them- and We certainly aren’t to be a party to any sort of promotion of them and their wicked ways-
You are correct about the owl’s mystical association with wisdom and the occult, but the Mesopotamians never associated the owl with Molech, as his worship was not in their time occult (hidden), nor was Moloch their god of wisdom.
[[Molech (also known as Moloch, Molek, Melech, or Minervas Owl) most of the time represented by an owl, was an ancient Near Eastern deity worshiped by several cultures. The Canaanites, Carthaginians, and Israelites were especially devoted to making human sacrifices, even burning newborns alive, depending upon the seriousness of the blessing desired. Molech was commonly worshiped in the mid-east in pre-New Testament times.]]

Yeah, I saw that before... There’s no history of Molech being represented by an owl. A lot of Christian websites try to tie every pagan religion together into a grand conspiracy, but there’s almost no historic or archaelogical ties between an owl and Molech. Molech was symbolized by a bull.
