Man I hate that. Such an underrated musician. I bet it was pneumonia.
aww, crap! I loved his music. Tonight i will be rocking out. RIP!!!!
Prince, Michael Jackson, and Madonna were born in the same year.
Ugh, looks who is left, the trash from Detroit.
Unlike Robert Zimmerman, Prince was a life-long Minnesotan. Sad day.
OH MY. SO VERY SAD.
Was he even relevant?
I am a teenager of the 80’s. This sucks.
He was a weird guy, but loved his music until he broke up the Revolution.
RIP
Just saw this, sad. He was a talented but very weird artist.
Coincidentaly, driving into work this morning, “1999” was playing on the radio. For once, I had the FM radio on, not Fox Business on SiriusXM.
I guess we can make some presumptions.
Either way, RIP. HE was a crazy one but who isn't?
And right before Passover, too. The physical world makes for some strange/paradoxical mirrored imagery.
Destined to return as a king formerly known as prince..
I'm bookmarking this one.
RIP
When someone passes who is younger than me, and it is not suicide, drugs, or a freak accident, it makes you think. Heart attack brought on by influenza is likely cause of death.
Likely Prince was the best guitarist in decades, IMHO. But 57 is unexpected, unless he died of an overdose or something, but I think it would already be obvious at this juncture, so it looks like it is related to that “flu” or something. There are all kinds of “emerging” diseases, viruses, etc., being introduced into this country by illegal aliens.
Anyway, he’s dead, too bad, a great talent.
A viral influenza is often followed up by bacterial pneumonia. Take your antibiotics. RIP Prince.
A month ago he was in Toronto. A city he lived in for a short while. Here is what is being reported
Most recently, Prince returned to the city as part of his solo Piano and a Microphone tour, which also included a stop in Montreal in late March.
In Toronto, he played two shows in one night performing nearly 60 songs across the two, differing setlists and later ventured out to a club to celebrate afterwards.
Doubt many of us here have that kind of endurance. Maybe he just worked himself to death.
I grew up in the 1980’s, Prince was one of those omnipresent musicians you couldn’t get away from even if you wanted too during that era. Most of his tunes were catchy enough, never was a huge fan myself and never went deeper than his “Top 10 Hits”, but by the same token I didn’t dislike him either, but honestly couldn’t recognize one song he released in the last 25 years. Regardless, shame he died, RIP.
I totally understood why he called himself the “Artist formerly known as Prince” was because the recording label had it copyrighted, and poor Prince Nelson couldn't even use his own name to bill himself when he sang/played. So the “Formerly Known As Prince” name was a way to legally tell the studio to go blank themselves.
Clever, actually!
This event has taken the Trump & Bathroomgate off the headlines. Every network from CNN, to FOX, to MSNBC, to Fox Business, is carrying “Prince” instead. What the media meant for evil to dislodge Trump for Super Tuesday has been superceded by a famous guy’s death. God surely works in mysterious ways.
if the old rule of three still holds, I wonder who will be the last of this triplet of creative giants to pass on. Bowie, Prince, and...?
