They changed the rules a few times, got rid of a primary for a caucus and got rid of the caucus for nothing. . .

Yeah. Last August. A bit ago.

You accept States' rights, or you don't. Guess what the alternative is: Having the GOPe dictate from Washington how everything in the party will be decided, in such a way as to favor the people they like. Or maybe, having the Supreme Court dictate it all from the bench, based on some lawsuit. Better?

Your sarcasm is misplaced. There’s a difference between an allocation of delegates that’s determined by voters choice and a situation where voters are kept as far removed from the process as possible.

Have you considered what I said, about being cautious about optimism because of the effect early voting can have?

Enforcing something different, even if you or I thought it would be better, would be unconstitutional. Do you understand that?

Look. Forget the caution. Caution makes you lose.

You have to attack and carpet bomb the opponent. Trump has huge momentum and you have to use that to your advantage and psych the opponent out and bury him with overwhelming force.

Caution is too often an excuse for not putting out 100%.

This is Trump’s opportunity to savage Cruz and finish him off like when the matador digs the dagger in the bull’s neck for the final kill. Indiana is where the Cruz bull gets the final death blow. Act as if that is the case and turn up the savaging times 10!

Well I don’t live in Colorado, however they should have the right to vote

This isn’t Communist Russia where party insiders get to pick who gets what.

The people of Colorado need to set down the bong and realize they lost the right to vote. They need up rise, burn down city hall, not me. I live in the People’s Republic of New Jersey, I have my own government to fend off

After IN, Trump can wrap up the nomination with wins in WVA, NJ and CA.

That’s all he needs even if the rest go Cruz.

There will be no contested convention - Trump will win on the first ballot.

Thank you.

And you have my sympathies. But then again, I live in North Korea--I mean, New York State.

Those delegates can still be stolen Fair and Square. It’s the GOPe Way.

We know they'll try.

Cruz has stolen delegates all over. I recall here in Nashville, then Louisiana, the Colorado steal, and; I recall Kentucky folks were just as pissed as we were in TN. Cruz loves to cheat/steal/lie etc. His father was a teacher with few morals.

I understand that as a voter, I want delegates to be representing the voters. If at this stage of choosing the nominee that doesn’t happen, our “representative form of government” is a farce and a lie.

We’re on the same side, and I’m THRILLED that Trump has used maneuvers like maximizing his voter percentage in the CT primary. All I’m saying is early voting, which tends to work for insiders, often blunts the effect of results vs what polls say. And that latest poll shows great momentulm.

His old man is full of BS about his heroics in Cuba. He lied about being with Frank Pais, the movement leader, when he was killed. Crus was 400 miles away from Santiago in his home town. Cruz has more BS in him then a Christmas turkey has stuffing.

If at this stage of choosing the nominee that doesn’t happen, our “representative form of government” is a farce and a lie.

A fellow over at AT described the process whereby he became a GOP Wyoming delegate. It was months long. It consisted of pitching in, showing up, and being elected in the end by a smallish committee of those who had done the same. It's how it generally happened across the country before there were primaries. Direct plebiscites for national office were never taken in America before modern times. The process he describes brought us Washington, Adams, Jefferson, etc., well into the 20th century.

Primary elections are subject to their own distortions, including people who aren't in the party crossing over to make trouble, distorted ad campaigns, state-run media people who meddle with debates, and voter fraud at the polls.

Locally made systems based on who shows up not only seem as good as primary elections to me, it's clear from reading the USC that for some national office or court to define the form they must take across state lines would be unconstitutional. Ours is a government by agreement of States, not a national swarm of voters on a certain day in time. Our amalgam of local processes is what built America and has preserved it from totalitarianism up till now. It's the worst system in the world except for all the others.
