Everything McCain has to do to win re-election is made more difficult by Donald Trump. He has to protect his left flank among women and Latinos, which made up 17 percent of the electorate in 2012 and are expected to be up to 21 to 22 percent of the vote in 2016. This, in a nutshell, is what I loathe about politics. All of these politicians spending so much time and money figuring out how to pander to the most people for votes, instead of just being themselves.
Don't pander. Don't try to rebrand yourself for each demographic of voters. Just be yourself. Develop a vision and push forward with it. Bring people around, invite them to share and be part of your vision.
In other words, be more like Trump, and get the voters on board your train.

Rick was a very good governor of TX.
I’ve never met him. He and I grew up 14 miles apart. He was a few years younger than I was. I know both of his parents. His father’s family moved to the is county about 4 years earlier than mine. I think the county was formed in 1885, my family came in 1889.
Rick’s wife was a nurse, she took very good care of my grandfather.
I’m sure he will be involved when the GOP gets their act together.

On a larger scale, nobody has been a more consistent voice on American foreign policy for the GOP than McCain, whose views on conflict, diplomacy, and America's role in the world Trump has largely rejected."Get 'im out!"

>>How about REPUBLICAN?
A Republic is a system of governance characterized by the rule of law.
America’s Republic was constituted with an intent to constrain government within the declared purpose for American Government — TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS; and the social and fiscal behavior of conservative Republicans should reflect that intent.
Might want to check that bathwater before you toss it.

McCain, the original independent and maverick of the party. Yeah, right.
There was a time we called those RINO's.
To: VRWCmember
McCain isn’t even a RINO. He doesn’t rise to the level of RINO.
He’s down there with Romney, a species of puke that hasn’t been clearly named as yet.
