Piscotti had graduated from Stanford with a degree in climate change

An acquaintance of mine who works in HR was sent a package of resumes of Masters Degree candidates from a major East Coast university.

They ALL majored in Climate Change.

Dear Young Person - think about this:

Bernie is promising you "tuition-free college."

OK - you get your college tuition free - now what?

There are millions of other young people who have been promised "free college."

More and more of them will be born every year- an endless supply.

Who's going to pay for them?

You are! You will have to work the rest of your life to pay for all those other "free college" kids.

Are you really sure you want to do that? - Really?

Right now it’s about 30k per year including room and board which is actually kind of reasonable for a private school.

“Reasonable” is a relative term.

I call it No Direct Payment college, which I think is a little more accurate.

I don’t know why but human nature is wired to get something that we have attained through our own effort not from the kindness of others.

There is a place for kindness in this world; we wouldn’t have light without it but a world without our being able to put something into it, literally kills us on the inside.

That’s exactly the argument Gingrich put forth in the 90’s to attain welfare reform. It worked as Clinton caved and passed it, but all those reforms have been undone by Obama and blue states, so we’re back to generational welfare and lost generations.

No wonder it didn’t ‘hold’ for long. If that’s the basis for ‘welfare-reform’, he needs a better standing.

I’d suggest using the Constitution instead: 5th & 13th specifically.

Once you discuss ‘stealing from one to give to another’ THEN you can debate ‘*feelings* of self-worth’ (which, IMO, has been bred out over 60yrs of Uncle Sugar being the ‘new daddy’).
