It is 100% the defendant’s choice.
When the matter is one of legal sufficiency, go for the trial by judge as long as he is impartial, always.
She is full of crap. In a just world she would be on trial for malicious prosecution.

By blaming the police department for a poor investigation, she’s admitting she filed the charges before the investigation was complete; and knowing that she didn’t have the evidence to support the charges.

Chris Plante was reading an oped from a Baltimore paper last fall that said it was Moseby’s office that instructed the Baltimore PD crack down on that neighborhood and run the drug dealers off.
Sort of ‘different’ from her lip today about ‘Freddy was an innocent guy hanging out in his neighborhood and was running home when he got picked up - AND subsequently murdered in cold blood’.
If ONE idiot so much as blocks traffic with a sign regarding this case, SHE should be arrested for inciting a riot. She made her ‘speech’ today in Freddies neighborhood and was sounding like a fire and brimstone preacher with her ranting and accusations.
This woman was ‘wrong’ from the git-go, over reaching and overcharging.
These charged cops knew from the outset that a jury trial was an automatic prison sentence, glad the Judge they had was interested in THE LAW, not political gain.
The correct thing to do now would be for this Judge to get some kind of ‘reward’.
But probably better his common sense approach should be left right where it is.
I heard the start of Marilyn Mosby’s comments. She sounded hysterical and frantic, maybe scared. I stopped listening as Marilyn Mosby wa proving that she is one very stupid person.
