I have to attend parties for business with academia folks from time to time. I get by with a good social act, but the process is deeply uncomfortable inside and I never understood why.

I was praying about it and then realized that I am in a social situation of majority atheism. It’s very politically correct, as that is their religion. I can feel the lack of the Holy Spirit. It’s kind of like interacting with dead people.

Years ago Knoxville News Sentinel was a decent paper when Frank Cagle was Editor. That was when Knoxville had two competing daily papers and KNS had a different Editor than the current one last name of McElroy I think. It also had a different publisher but I can't remember his name Harry Moskos maybe & it was a better paper.

Current Editor is not native East Tennessee and IIRC hails from the Metro Denver area bringing a liberal slant to the paper with him. Recently I think the paper was sold to USA Today and has the same owner as the Memphis daily.

Dems unless it is a major scandal get a free pass usually. They have yet to write a critical word about the city Mayor even after a full term but the county mayors office has been fair game for years. This same paper also went after a then serving General Assemblywoman last name of Hurley I think for the most trivial matters such as taking a dog into a court house in Roane County while out on an errand. Yeah that's real serious breaking news crime of the decade /sarcasm. They went on and on about it too.

The paper really isn't worth it's price. Besides the Editorial Bias there is issues with the "shrunken" paper size and small font very hard on they eyes.

All that said I am familiar with the store in question. Many businesses have moved off Clinton Highway and moved to west Knoxville. The stores in the shopping center closed except for Target and a couple other stores. I think they actually ran two book stores in Knoxville known as Cedar Springs Christian Store {listed as such in the local phone book} and a third store in nearby Oak Ridge. They have been in business a long time.

Knoxville is a fairly big city but the county is primarily Conservative and is Congressman John J Duncan Jr's key county. The city government is Dem the county is mainly GOP. I didn't read the publishers excuse they want to play "let's take a quiz first" to access the article to explain themselves on knoxnews.com website. That too started today I think. Well the local TV stations allow free access online to the news so we'll see who blinks LOL.

You can tell the spirit you run into - especially if you talk about Bible Prophecy. They almost go into an insane rant.

Presumably the newspaper is privately owned.

So are wedding vendors.
