She sits when anyone else is talking. I think she prefers high stools. She seems to have more trouble getting up from a chair. She uses “tricks” like clasp hands for leverage and holds onto the back of the chair when sitting down.

I had a hip replacement and can recognize the cheats you unconsciously learn.

I don’t know if she has two different issues, unable to stand for long and trouble getting up and down from a chair. Or if it is all one issue..just frailty and weakness.
