What a hypocritical liar is Deal Hudson. He should be excommunicated, if he isn’t already. Hudson has proven himself 0% pro-life.

You haven’t read the article, have you?
To: Arthur McGowan
I read the entire sham of an article. Deal Hudson is a total sell out and pander to the LGBT agenda.
To: nickcarraway
I don’t see any mention of LGBT in the article.
To: Arthur McGowan
I posted it on my FB wall. It’ll be interesting to see what response it gets or if people even take the time to read it.

Being anti abortion is the ONLY difference between the church and communism or being a demo rat. I figured that out years ago and left the church. My money want going to give cover to pedofiles or commies.

The guy is correct to a great extent. The primary god that the Democrats worship is abortion, and most Catholics vote that ticket. Anti-abortion must not be a tenet of the Catholic church any more.
Ditto for Jews voting Democrat when that party intends to confiscate guns. You’d think they’d learned better in the ‘30s and ‘40s.

If someone sampled priests’ homilies to churchgoers, they’d confirm this headline. 55 million dead babies in America, and hardly a word from the pulpit, ever.
To: nickcarraway
As a Catholic, I see little evidence that the American hierarchy believes that abortion is murder.

They do in mine. You just have to find the right parish. Too many people settle for their local Catholic Church. I’m lucky, of course, mine is close by. But during the 70s, my mother drove us miles to find a good church.

The pope doesn’t seem to care much about Jesus, by His absence in so many of the pope’s speeches. What Luther said.

Americans will still keep their guns, they will just hide them.

First a comment: will people stop the b.s. about leaving the Church because they refuse to contribute to an organization that harbors pedophiles? If you pay local property taxes, you are supporting the largest harbor of pedophiles in the USofA - the public school system. So, knock off the self-righteous nonsense.
The social justice contingent of the American (and European) Catholic Church is a bunch of intellectual know-nothings. Without thinking things through, they spout nonsense, as did Ab. Chaput. There is no such thing as justice without the fulness of Truth, nor can peace be had except in Truth. If anyone wanted to note such, Trump has a track record of trying to do the right thing - look at his children, and recall the entire thrust of his TV show, The Apprentice, which was driven by Trump's search for the best candidate. Those two qualities - his family values and his business-sense search for excellence - tell me more about the real Trump than all the media ever will or can.

Buddy of mine tells me he’s a devout Catholic, always attends mass, and is also a solid Democrat (old school, before they were commies, although he wouldn’t understand that if it was explained to him). I always want to ask him how he can be both, but I don’t because I figure that would be the end of any conversations with him ever again.

Arthur McGowan - my apologies to you per my previous post. I realized after I hit 'Post' that it seemed I was harpooning you. Not my intent. My goal is not publicly shaming anyone, but to encourage them to stop and think about what they are claiming.
Again, my apologies on that previous post.

Good post! In fact, all of our institutions are corrupted. We all (meaning all Americans) allowed this. I suppose most of us were too busy working and raising families to completely understand what was happening.
I still say to Catholics who are fed up: find a parish that supports the old rituals and beliefs of the Church prior to VII. Attend Greek or Russian Orthodox Masses. Ignore the Pope who almost never speaks Ex Cathedra - if he even knows what that is.

Baloney! Without the Catholic Church, the fight against abortion would be much smaller and less effective. That’s not to say that Evangelicals do not contribute to the cause, just that the Catholic Church has such a huge impact on the fight.
