He’s watching the donation incoming meter crash the more they don’t support Trump. Sure, there are some big donors that pay to not support Trump, but the supermajority of donated dollars are from people displeased by the RNC’s lack of support.

“I think that we’re going to evaluate the process – of the nomination process and I don’t think it’s going to be that easy for them.”

A tacit admission that NO outsiders (even a “Trump”) will be permitted to challenge the establishment’s pick in future Republican primaries.

How can you stop them? Because let's face it, if the Republican establishment could stop someone from running then they would have nipped Trump's campaign in the bud a year ago and we all know it.

How do you stop them?

Let’s just say that the GOP voters in a given state go to the polls and nominate one of these folks. Reince will deny them their choice?

Suppose one or more should run for president in 2020 (if Trump loses) or 2024 (If he wins). Reince or his successor is going to deny the voters the opportunity to vote for that person and nominate him or her if they so choose? Really?

Now, that may not happen, but if it does, what does the GOP propose to do about it?

If someone says, “I will be a candidate for the Republican nomination” and the voters vote for that person, how does the RNC say,”no, you can’t”?

I suppose in order to legitimately run as a Republican candidate, an aspirant has to have the approval of the local or State Republican nominating committee and the RNC. But actually I’m not sure exactly how the process works.

The RNC may not have the power to do what Priebus is saying they’ll do.
