Your first breath:

There you go again......

Intellectually pretending Cruz is NOT the one who is refusing the "building a winning coalition" thing is right up your alley.

Intellectual snobbery and stupidity at the same time.

Your second breath:

Vote Trump. Support Trump.

Once again I'm compelled thank you for proving my point.

That's he does not is quite understandable in view of the deplorable libels against his family and himself, and in view of Trump repudiating his pledge to endorse.

So Cruz lost, ok. But why is it then necessary for people to assassinate his character over and over, drag him and his relatives through the mud, slander him every which way, say whatever rot that comes into their heads about him. I mean, the way he's portrayed here, he might as well be Satan. Or Hillary. What is the point of that? It's even more baffling when you consider that those dragging him through sewage at every opportunity were once undyingly loyal supporters of Cruz not so long ago.

And that’s the simple unvarnished truth.
I stumbled on this thread to read the same old boring cruz supporters trying to make him into something he is not - how quaint.

I'm one of those and, while we once might have agreed about young Teddy Cruz, I definitely do not see Cruz now in the same ways as perhaps you do.

For me, it's a matter of trust and integrity, not infatuation over the things he says or how he might say them.

Please see Luke 16:10 for further contemplation.

You could try full sentences, but that would require an attention span.

YOU can't even prove your own points, so don't try that BS.

YOU supported, and apparently still support someone who is sabotaging and helping Hillary to destroy our country once and for all.

And yes, there you go again......you and your phony intellectual pretense.

A sad case, this one.

It would be funny if it weren't so tragic.

Cruzers are so unaware of what they look like.........and what they've become.

Unfortunately they’ll never figure it out.

If Trump fails it will be because of the kind of ignorance some of his “supporters” show on this forum.

Sometimes I wonder if some secretly hope he fails so they’ll have something to gripe about.

This situation is truly sad.

Time for a reality check. Conservatism, that is to say the sort of neoconservative foreign policy of GW Bush meets free trade meets social conservatism, is on the ropes. It’s being supplanted by nationalism. And the replacement is happening fairly quickly.

Those who identify with the sort of conservatism I describe have a choice. Not a particularly hard one in my view: take the 50% of a loaf offered by DJT and his nationalists or the 5% offered by the witch and her globalists. Some conservatives, particularly cruz supporters, seem to have a real hard time with what is by all reasonable measures a relatively straightforward choice.

And with regards to entitlement programs, it really doesn’t matter. Because the answer to the question of “how are we going to pay for all this?!” ..is We Aren’t. The unfunded liabilities and entitlements that we face are not going away and are of such a magnitude that the question is not whether a de facto default is coming, it’s when and in what fashion.

I remember the days when everyone on FR loved him.

I remember when a good portion of Freepers bent over backwards to amend the NBC clause in the Constitution, but not everyone here liked him.

Ted Cruz and his conservative supporters

Ted doesn't have any conservative supporters, or they wouldn't have supported him in the first place.

By the way do you think Freepers are not anti-globalists?

especially after Texas AG Patrick has jumped on the train.

Beck and his crew were all over Patrick for asking Cruz to abandon his principles. Strangely those same people did not question whether principle included keeping your word.

At last, a definition of new age "nationalism."

There is an alternative which you failed to mention, constitutional conservatism.

RKBA Democrat in the preceding reply defines "nationalism," a term often associated with "anti-globalism," as a politics of entitlements without end and bankruptcies without alternative:

And with regards to entitlement programs, it really doesn’t matter. Because the answer to the question of “how are we going to pay for all this?!” ..is We Aren’t.

Now you parade "anti-globalism" before us and demand that we agree with a concept that is certainly not well defined. Do you mean that we support good trade deals and oppose bad trade deals? The only rational response is to observe that such an analysis is no more helpful than throwing the term, "anti-globalism" around because virtually all trade deals are bad for one section of our economy but good for other sections of our economy.

Right now the so-called "nationalists" and "anti-globalists" are asking us only to be concerned about jobs as opposed to consumers. Even if we concern ourselves only with jobs, they do not tell us which jobs they will sacrifice to gain or restore other jobs. They will not tell us how much of this is a zero-sum game and how much of this is actually increasing the pie. Are the advocates of better trade deals really playing a zero-sum game? Without definition we simply don't know.

Hardly a rational and widely shared basis upon which to throw over our Constitution and embark on a whole new politics for America.

It is not sufficient to say that our trade deals that we have are bad, at $700 billion a year trade imbalance it is obvious that our trading posture is not good. But that does not mean that we have a consensus to replace it because we don't know how much we will lose doing so nor how much we will gain, nor who will gain and who will lose. Don't forget, we are talking about a political philosophy so do not conflate winning election with that philosophy. Trump is exploiting that trade imbalance brilliantly but that does not mean that "anti-globalism" or "nationalism" substitute a real policy for the failed trade policy that exists.

You are the one who has been consistently wrong for close to a year. Go ahead, explain to us all once again just how smart you Cruzers are, willing to watch your country and everything you hold dear go to Hell if hillary wins. Eff you, the whole bunch of you, nothing but self important trash.

While being wrong, you show us the crazy side of the Cruzers with your projection of superior intellect (which isn’t), and your consistent smarminess (always on display).

How a once respected poster on this forum became so deranged is an object lesson for all of us.

Kindly stay with frau Merkel, you deserve each other. Maybe Ted will visit and commiserate while we rebuild the country...........

Maybe you should look in the mirror, cause it’s all true.

But why would I expect rational self examination from a Cruzer?

There is alot to not like about Ted Cruz- his failure to support Trump because in his own little self-absorbed world he thinks he is Reagan reincarnated it one.

Cruz was pushed as the “next Reagan” by several prominent radio hosts and interest groups. A man who lacks charisma. A man touted as such a great debater, but has no memorable moments in the Republican debate other than his NY values debacle. The liberal media gave him a pass, while they attacked Trump relentlessly. He ran a desperate, ridiculous campaign which included picking a VP that noone else wanted and playing into Mormon prophecy.

Plenty of freepers still support Bush and will try to out you as a communist if you don't approve or that Saudi-loving criminal. This despite the fact that the Bushes will be voting for Hillary. How's that for "party loyalty"?
