Pause for a moment and think of just what might happen. These airport folks who are handling “our guy” had best realize that they need to make certain the level of caution is as if their very lives depended on how well they do their jobs. Because they will not be pretending...
An aside...our neighbor growing up served in WW2, very much a respected, a gentlemen. He was on a domestic flight (late 1980’s) that was forced to belly land at our local airport. He did an interview that was covered on every channel, in essence “no big deal”, it was his second belly landing -first in a WW2 bomber.
And the Pence family dog of 13 years died yesterday/the day before as well. Praying for this family to be ready for the final push into Election Day and beyond quite frankly. His selection is by far the best and most God-guided (whether conscious or not) decision Donald Trump has made thusfar.
this is one reason most of us avoid changing planes in either of those two major airports in New York. When I go down the list of flights to choose from, even I have certain ones I will never land in!
Fox preempted BORs memo and report about the crime family foundation to carry 20 minute coverage of a skidded plane with no injuries. I am sure it was intentional. Bet BOR is furious.

Gov. Mike Pence is campaigning out west for Donald Trump, but the loss of a family pet has his heart in the Hoosier state.
Heavy hearts today, Pence tweeted Wednesday. Our beagle of 13 years passed away quietly last night. Rest in Peace, Maverick. We will miss you.
The campaign shared a photo of Pence and First Lady Karen Pence hugging Maverick on the doorstep of the governors residence.
The Pence family adopted Maverick in Virginia when he was 2.
The Pences also have two cats, Oreo and Pickle; a bunny, Marlon Bundo; and a snake, Sapphira.

...for what it’s worth, I live within walking distance of the airport.
rainy and windy there tonight for sure
at night in the rain it can be very difficult to have good depth perception looking at black wet tarmac
from the hard landing I’m guessing the pilot may not have been able to see quite how close they were
could also be wind gusts, low turbulence
Bet it’s on its’ way.
I think there were flight delays or holds at LaGuardia earlier, presumably due to the bad weather.
We’ve been having cold rain all day in the NYC metro area. Lot of spots getting freezing rain this evening. This is completely normal for this area at this time of year.

Behind Closed Doors
Sorry, “Behind Closed Doors” was not part of the article’s title. It was the name of the SECTION of the website where the article appears. I mistakenly included it when I increased the font size of the actual title: “Maverick, the Pence family dog, dies”
I’m sure weather was a factor - really heavy rain here. LaGuardia is a tough landing in the best of weather.
And this good man, after this landing, immediately went to the back of the plane to check on the reporters. Class act.
dead dog, not plane slides off....
Thank goodness everyone is ok. No injuries, but a very scary incident.
