Well, YEAH. If you won't do what I want instead of what YOU want: that's BAD!
Yeah, otherwise he might be called to the front of the room for class demonstrations!
Isn't it funny that one of the teacher's middle names is "Stable", because she sounds rather unstable.
Why would anyone take one of these courses, anyway?
"Heh heh. Cox. Heh heh."
“Why would anyone take one of these courses, anyway?”
These are requisite courses anymore - core science curriculum.
I'm not sure I understand you. Did you mean this is a required course for all? Or it is a course that could be used to fulfill part of a "core science" requirement? In the latter case, I suppose some consider it a soft or gut course, easier than, say, freshman chem.
That's both amazing and ridiculous at the same time.
Had a professor back in the mid-1970’s who regularly went off on some liberal rant or the other.
It was diverting at first, but became rather tedious after a while.
I finally raised my hand and observed that what he was saying was not related to the content of the course and, as such, was not what I was paying for. Surprisingly, several other students agreed with me. The guy was genuinely stunned and dialed it back in subsequent lectures.
The fact that students are paying customers is lost on most “academics.”
“The human sexuality teacher Olga Perez Stable Cox...”
Ok, there is a joke in there somewhere.
Olga Perez Stable Cox - sounds like a stage name for an aging exotic dancer.
I was using hyperbole - the point is the dumbing down of education...
Why in the world would it be illegal to record a lecture by a college teacher? Students have always taken notes to help recall the ‘knowledge’ being imparted and a recording is far more efficient and complete.
Oh, I see, these leftist propagandists can’t deny having said something stupid if it’s recorded. Recording of lectures should be legal at any school and even encouraged.
Oh. Well, this did happen in CA, where the taxpayers foot the bill for this foolishness. But, it’s a nationwide phenomenon.
In all seriousness, in a just world, the DoJ would have a crack civil rights unit investigating and punishing those who bully and violate civil rights on campuses.
So...wait.
She clearly hates Trump and Pence but the professor in that video sounded like a scared child not a raving lunatic ranting. They went after the kid for posting a video which was relatively tame compared to many other similar ones out there?
They are like a raw nerve - every little pushback throws them into hysterics.
I attended college in the 80’s and speaking out like that would have resulted in nothing better than a C for the course no matter what you did. I ended up getting passive-aggressive about it and writing the most bizarre leftist tripe, actually got good at it. Always got good grades. Of course, I was in art school, that had some impact I’m sure.
The most hilarious one that I cooked up, to me, was theorizing that the cave paintings at Lascaux were actually religious in nature, an orgiastic, animalistic homage to Gaia, being in what was tantamount to an earth womb as they were. That one got rave reviews, I had professors from outside the department commenting upon it positively to me.
The campus environment in the 70’s wasn’t quite as punitive.
And yes, you can easily play these people if you appeal to things they hold dear.
Most of them are fairly predictable and shallow. There really are trigger words, both positive and negative, among the left.
But if it was an anti-Obama rant, the prof would be expelled.
