Once you buy the fabric, the lining, the interfacing, the thread, and the Velcro, it ends up costing MORE! LOL!

But at least i know it will fit.

The FUBO Coat is VERY warm. Triple Goose Down, like arctic wear. LOL!

Tomorrow night I’ll have the debut footage from the movie for “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.”

Snow isn’t that hard to drive on as long as you drive slow. It’s ice that’s a problem - - can’t drive OR stop when there isn’t traction.

That’s our problem here when it snows. There’s always ice. I just stock up and stay home and stay out of harm’s way. LOL! It’s usually just for a couple of days since we tend to warm up enough to melt the ice and snow pretty quickly.

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...did you sing this week?

Does Penny have a more comfortable coat?

We had several days of single digits day and night, now only at night. Mid teens in the daytime.

I holed up too. I made my pastafazool, the dialect term for pasta con fagioli, aka pasta with beans. It warms you right up.

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

COLE PORTER

BORN TO DANCE

CHARLIE PARKER: “EASY TO LOVE”

Purists have always had issues with the sides that Bird recorded with orchestral backing, but his alto sax shines anyway. This 1950 recording shows how a bebop giant could work those chord changes around the supporting harmonies. Take a look at his supporting musicians! The Fifties were a great era for jazz.

Posting pix is easy. Just need to have a hosting site to put your pix in. Hey, if I could learn to do it, ANYONE can! LOL! I was a TOTAL computer dummy when I first started coming here. Kathy and a couple of other Canteeners were great teachers.

Well dang. It used to be cheaper to make stuff than to buy it.

But the main thing is it will fit and that’s worth it.

I got the sewing machine out and used a pattern, but even XL is too small for her. So I enlarged the pattern and will try again.

I still haven’t figured out exactly how i will modify the store-bought coat to make it more comfortable for her.

Why couldn’t she have been part HUSKY? LOL!

That’s the way to do it! Hole up and eat food that warms from the inside out.

My fave cold-weather food is simple and basic - - grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato bisque soup.

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

COLE PORTER

BORN TO DANCE

ELLA FITZGERALD: “EASY TO LOVE”

The First Lady of Song’s recording from 1956 utilizes the original intro. This is a small jazz club arrangement of a genuine love song, and just listen to the purity of her voice as she hits the high notes! Your screen will go blurry at the end.
