Booker T. Washington was someone to admire, he understood the issues black Americans had faced as slaves, and thought that learning a trade and working hard was the way to get “up from slavery”.
I had never thought about it but it really just sucks to be a Liberal at all times. Liberalism is about being pissed off at everything always. To be a liberal means you must believe somone, or something, is always out to get you.
Michelle has carried the anger and bitterness with her for her whole life.
After her angry, graceless and frumpy first year in the public eye, it seems someone in her husband’s administration got to her and helped her work on improving her public image, and showing a little grace.
Now that the end is in sight, all pretense has been given up, and she’s reverting to her natural petulant, aggrieved style.
I saw Mrs. Obama showing her card hand when she said last week that having Trump win shows us what losing hope is like.
She professes to be a Christian...and she says this?
My hope is in Christ Jesus. Through Him I know I will go on living an ultimately be resurrected and live for ever with my Savior and my loved ones. No political outcome...no financial calamity...no sickness...no frigging LIONS ATTACK AND MAULING can take that away from anyone who has given them self to our Savior Christ the Lord.
America has always had great hope precisely because a majority of its citizens had THIS hope in Jesus within.
And we will continue to do so as long as we keep that hope alive.

But if I do not...and it looks like I will not...then I will continue on the other side, across Jordan to do whatever I am allowed to do to influence and watch over my family, friends, and all of those who have aa love of God in their heart.

Strange. My husband lost his job as Obama entered office, because of the economy then, which started a downward spiral for my family. We are broken and hurting since then and also since then have never had even a weekend’s vacation. And yet it is she who feels hopeless, after all the vacations I helped buy her, all the steaks I couldn’t afford that she stuffed down her gullet, all the concerts I could attend that she had performed in her home from us.
