Out of concern for honest, hard-working public servants who may find themselves conflicted about carrying out Obama Administration directives over the next few weeks, incoming Attorney General Sessions may want to offer a public statement about potential criminal liability associated with destruction of government records.

The administration hasn’t been using the program since 2011.
Given that, one has to wonder why it is being ended now.

Sounds precedent setting to me, in a good way.
A law put in place that the executive is supposed to administer something is just ended... pooof, by fiat.
Use the same practice to end the public funding of the NPR system, the Dept of Education, the EPA, etc., etc., and.... etc.
No need to fire anybody, or violate civil service protections... just end the “system” they work for, as is being done with the Entry-Exit Tracking.
