The Bible certainly teaches that those who refuse to work should not eat. Just as it does NOT teach, ‘God helps those who help themselves.’

I agree with your assessment. She may have regretted the lying and cheating but then she used the excuse she was being persecuted as a Christian. There is really nothing Christian about any of that excuse after she got caught cheating and lying. That in itself is another lie so I seriously doubt she is remorseful at all.
It all stinks of Alinksy rules to me. That is what the Clintonistas and the left live by these days. Alinksy Rules for Radicals was dedicated to the devil, the first radical, deceiver, and liar. Alinksy followers understand how to lie and to deceive people.

The OP is deceptive in its time line. Brazile is not simultaneously claiming Christian persecution AND saying she made a mistake she’ll regret for the rest of her life. Rather, she originally claimed Christian persecution. Then time—months—passed, and she made the second statement. It represents a shift.
My point all along has been very simple. The Christians among us must hope and pray the change of heart is fundamental and sincere.
Non-Christians can treat it any way they like.
Then ask yourself: 1)when did Donna EVER claim that she was a believing Christian 2)acted as though she was 3)said that she begged GOD's forgiveness 4) begged all of us, whom she lied to, for forgiveness 5) apologized 6) sad that she had done wrong 7) said that she had LIED 8) admitted to having misused her supposed "Christianity, instead of RACE, to shut up the interviewer/avoid admitting to have done something both ILLEGAL and underhanded ?
