Nah... it’s an in-your-face. Both ways (from God and back at God). I used to wonder how a good God could even bring about a hell, and then I realized that if this good God wanted something more than puppets, then He would have to make room for choices of both eternal hate and eternal love. We have a voluntary participation sport going on with men in both hell and heaven.
I don’t know what the rest of this fellow’s life was like, and probably neither does anyone else here.
