Congress never sent anyone to jail ever. It’s up to the DOJ to do that job. Hopefully a grand jury will be or is in process sorting this out.

Bingo!

I’m afraid congress is too afraid to do anything but those who can, Flynn, should start by suing the pants off of them. Make them go broke defending themselves.

It's not up to Congress. This is a criminal case, it will be handled by the Justice Department.

This is the purview of the Justice Department. Trump's Justice Department.

The only Trump person in the DOJ is Session, and he's recused from all this "Russian" stuff. As far as I know, Congress hasn't/won't confirm a deputy AG.

So, for all practical purposes, the DOJ still belongs to Obama... so does the FBI.

The list of people who need to go to prison over spygate and other gates and other crimes is long and extensive. It starts with barry, hillary, valerie, huma, susan, ben, eric, loretta, james (fbi), james (dni), john (cia) and goes on and on. I don’t have any faith whatsoever that any of these criminals will be brought to justice.

They are more likely to assume room temp than go to jail.

Even better.

“...The timeline is key. If they started spying on Trump BEFORE wikileaks announced that they had gotten Democrat emails (and the subsequent allegations of Russian hacking), then they had NO REASON to start surveillance of Trump’s communications other than for political purposes. “

Very important point!!!

I rest my case. Getting ANYONE into jail may never happen.

It would be curious to know how they communicated the desire for anti-Trump intel to the lower echelons, who likely do not question the why of things.

NSA and FBI collect raw intel.
CIA and military intel agencies analyze it.
After ten layers of review, it makes it to DNI.
DNI likely has final say on what gets sent to the WH. Brennan and Clapper both had to be in on it.

My guess is that Adm. Mike Rogers was not in on the scheme, but discerned the political motives from the pattern of unmasking requests and what they related to. Would love to see him testify at trials about this, but they seem to have shut him up, probably by threatening to kill his family. This is a Clinton situation after all.

It irritates me that we have to go digging on our own to discover that Susan Rice is married to an Executive Producer at ABC news which is such a conflict of interest. And, why do we not hear more about Ben Rhodes brother being the President of CBS News. That probably is just the tip of the iceberg concerning the efforts of our recent government to set up such incestuous relationships between that administration and the media they rely on to persecute their political opponents. Such political alliances should be against our laws. Talk about injustice! There it is!

Not so—there are special liabilities written into law. It’s closer to simple negligence. Anyone unmasked who can prove they were unmasked can CLEAN UP.

>>My question is: Where is Sessions in all of this?

Being methodical so the prosecutions result in convictions that will stick, is what I hope the answer to this is.

He hasn’t held the office for 60 days yet. These things take time. “The wheels of justice grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine” is a saying for a reason.

I hope you’re right, but, as a former division commander once told me, “Hope isn’t a strategy.”

You consistently make good comments, so I'll direct this general observation to you:

The name of the game is to find evidence indicating that surveillance began prior to the DNC emails being leaked. (And hence the beginning of the false 'Russia hacked the election' narrative.)

Once a firm timeline is established, then **any** surveillance, incidental or not, would be proven to be political in nature. In fact, the deeper the DOJ can drill back, the worse it gets for the prior administration.

True gold would be able to demonstrate/prove that political espionage had been conducted against the Romney campaign (or even further back). Who here doesn't absolutely believe that this is/was the case?

Now, let us remind ourselves the core objective of Trump is MAGA. He figures he has 8 years to restore the US as a constitutional republic, and in so doing, become one of the great presidents.

In order to accomplish his basic tactical goals like the wall, jobs, immigration, etc, he must successfully execute his key strategic objective, which is the destruction of the MSM-DNC-RNC complex. If he cannot remove all the cancer, then it will return even more aggressively, and Trump's tenure will just be a short blip on the road to tyranny.

There is one sure fire way to do this: the revelations about pervasive & widespread domestic spying activities supported by all involved parties. However, we should all remember that when attempting to kill the king, you must kill the king.

For Trump to be successful in taking out the globalist uni-party, he absolutely must have all his ducks in order. Ask yourself these questions: Where's Giuliani and/or Christie? How come Newt is so quiet? How do we know a secret grand-jury isn't working apace as I type?

From a historical perspective, the success of Trump is similar to the need to win WWII. If he/we doesn't/don't win, it's all over except for the crying. I've got to believe he & his team understands this and are going for all the marbles.

Two of my hateful Haikus:

Rice hung by her tongue.
Obama stays away as Rice
is hung out to dry.

Obama tells Rice
to get “stuff” on Mr. Trump.
She under bus now.

Patricia McCarthy gets it.

This sordid mess has gone way beyond "politics as usual". Genuine tyranny has been narrowly avoided (so far, and only narrowly). Now the guilty need to be brought to justice - including Obama. There is no reason anybody should be immune because if they are not brought to justice, they may eventually prevail.

I’m pretty sure yesterday there were revelations that Trump was spied upon in 2012 (!!) and that that espionage in part dissuaded him from a run at that time. I don’t have the articles handy.

I’m pretty sure yesterday there were revelations that Trump was spied upon in 2012 (!!) and that that espionage in part dissuaded him from a run at that time.

The real danger of effective espionage is when the other party doesn't know they are being spied upon. If they do, then it's rather trivial to communicate false information.

Imagine if the Germans were aware that Ultra had been comprised. They could have easily transmitted information indicating sub positions away from their actual locations, but close to counter-defensive air/sea measures.

If you step back a bit, it becomes clear that everyone in DC realized and understood they were being spied on. In effect, it was just the "cost of doing business" if you wanted to play in the political arena. It was only the rubes out in 'Murica who believed that laws, rules & justice applied to everyone. (Seriously, you almost have to laugh at the naivete.)

So, once Trump got over his initial shock at this discovery (perhaps back in 2012), he then had time to develop effective counter-measures in order to feed false information - both political and business - to those listening in & monitoring his communications.

The biggest danger to the status quo - including, but not limited to, revelations about pervasive domestic spying - was an outsider coming in threatening to upset the apple cart. Hence the hysterical initial attempts to execute a "kill shot" during Trump's first 2 months in office. However, now that that effort has failed, it's simply a matter of time before the game gradually unwinds.

In many ways, it's like the story of Göring observing P-51 Mustangs flying over Berlin while accompanying B-17s and realizing the war was over - before D-Day was even launched. By failing to defeat Trump, the MSM-DNC-RNC complex must surely realize the "de-Nazification" process will slowly but inevitably play out.

I just saw this, have seen other actual articles, haven’t watched it all yet, Posobiec uses articles as sources.

EXCLUSIVE: Obama Spied on Trump in 2011

And this related article:

April 05, 2017
EXCLUSIVE: Obama Spied on Trump in 2011
JACK POSOBIEC

As the investigation into the Trump wiretapping scandal continues, sources within the Trump Administration now confirm that surveillance activities were conducted on Donald Trump in 2011, during the time he was considering announcing a run for president.
