and yet when harry reid made the very same rule change in 2013 that applied to ALL Federal judge appointments AND ALL other Presidential appointments except Supreme Court, it wasn’t controversial then. But now it is. What’s the difference? Oh, yeah, when Dems did it, it wasn’t “controversial”, but when Pubs do it, it’s controversial.

I wish that his mother, Anne Gorsuch, had lived to see her son on the SCOTUS. Sje was President Reagan’s first EPA Director, much abused by the left.
Gorsuch, on the other hand, has written opinions questioning the validity of Chevron USA v. Natural Resources Defense Council. "Chevron Deference," as it is known, is the judicial doctrine that says when Congress has only given a broad direction to a Federal agency, the agency has a green light to construe the mandate anyway they want and to essentially do what they want. Gorsuch believes there should be more checks and accountability for the administrative state.
We would never have seen that from a Justice Garland.
Watch for cases that raise questions about "Chevron Deference" in the next few years. That's going to be the hot issue in SCOTUS jurisprudence, and a curtailment of Chevron is the key to returning the Rule of Law to the administrative state and making it subservient to the people.
