Why would it? It’s a compliment, a badge of honor to have a highly sophisticated, extremely effective modern weapon named after an historic weapon of your culture.

The metal blade tomahawk was unknown to them before the early 1600s. The European settlers developed the frontiersman's tomahawk from the naval boarding axe.
The "traditional" Indian tomahawk head was made of flaked flint and bound to the handle with rawhide strips. The pipe tomahawk was unknown to them; it made for them by Europeans as a trade item.
I guess this is another stupid case of the “cultural appropriation” angle, but the tomahawk is/was an instrument of war, yes? The missile is an instrument of war, yes? Why would anyone with two brain cells to rub together be “offended” by this?
