Trump has a mind of his own. Chemical weapons are forbidden around the world.

That's why he made the VERY STRATEGIC hit, not because of Ivanka.

So did the media get loyal Trump folks gander up cuz that's the goal of the media.

OMG! Trumps daughter was behind it? Its not a bad thing, didn’t Hillary boast she was behind her husband helping him to make all his decisions? LOL, “Ivanka 2020!”

Poor Ivanka. It could have been that time of month. PMS and all. Tears for no reason. Diplomacy by hormones.

"Trump's 33-year-old son, Eric, told The Daily Telegraph on Monday that the strike was influenced in part by Ivanka, who he said was "heartbroken and outraged" by the chemical attack."

If you'll notice, except for the "heartbroken and outraged" fragment, he's not being quoted directly. When reading anything from the MSM that's a red flag indicating he didn't say exactly what they want you to think he said.

""Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence," Eric Trump said, speaking with the newspaper at Trump Turnberry golf resort in Ayrshire, Scotland. "I'm sure she said, 'Listen, this is horrible stuff.' My father will act in times like that.""

And here, it sounds like he's just guessing what Ivanka might have said. He obviously wasn't there and has no direct knowledge. In other words, he's running his mouth and speculating and the press is manipulating it to sell papers. Get a grip people. Consider the source and read with caution.

Does it really matter?

The weapons weren't supposed to be there; they were.

The weapons weren't supposed to be used; they were.

The weapons aren't there anymore, and can never be used again.

My emerging take on this.

I was against this Pres. Trump/Ivanka/Jared menage a trois from the gitgo...and made no bones about it.

Nothing personal against the parties involved. But I foresaw that virtually every move the President makes now and for the next four years will be attacked rightly or wrongly by the Left as a move "stuck in his ear" by his daughter and son-in-law. Anything and everything that goes wrong will be dumped on the Kushners, wait and see.

The situation is both as troubling as it was unnecessary. We saw this "nepotism" and "inexperienced advisors" drumbeat starting immediately after the appointments, it's in the news today...and it will continue without cessation in the future.

I consider their appointments to official top security positions to be a mistake...and I don't know how it'll be rectified now.

Bear in mind that many on the Right are as dismayed as I am, and, as the old saying goes, we take our position more in sorrow than in anger.

This is disgusting behavior. Ivanka needs to be spanked and sent back to New York with her liberal husband.

I was vice-president of a family owned corporation for about 12 years. I went into a different field and concluded that children should never work for, or with, their parents.

If this news blurb is accurate then Mr. Trump has just made a huge mistake. But I don't think it's accurate. Maybe Junior is making stuff up in order to get some attention, but I don't believe the President attacked Syria because his daughter was upset over casualties of war. That said, Mr. Trump needs to get her out of the White House.

Interesting. This was floated around and shot down before, but if Eric did say this it’s another story.

What about OUR children? http://www.illegalaliencrimereport.com/category/crimes-against-children/
Mostly rapes, some as young as 2yo but 10-13 seems to be the favorite, that and elderly and the occasional handicapped. Pretty much anyone defenseless.

Maybe if 20,000 people tweeted that link to Ivanka, the damn wall would get built.

Is it unacceptable to criticize a Trump decision? Nobody gets them all right.

Trump can still make a lot of bad decisions in the future but he will still be so much better than Hillary or Jeb would have been. Just his one Supreme Court selection and beating Hillary Clinton makes him a successful president in my view. He is working on the wall as well. I don’t think it is possible that he can damage the Republican brand any more than Paul Ryan has.

Her dad made the decision to send missiles over Syria even tho’ it’s been reported numerous times that the plans have been on desks at the Pentagon for a number of years - before Trump entered the race or before his daughter was even heard of by the public?

National security and matters of war and peace on global scales should not be decided on "heartbreaking" photos of a dead children. It was a heartbreaking picture of a dead child on a beach in Greece that led Europe to commit suicide by letting in millions of young adult male muslims into Europe without a hint of vetting and they are never going back, you can bet on that. Now people are being murdered and raped and women are afraid to walk the streets. Sometimes a sad picture is indeed heartbreaking and you can feel a lot of empathy but there is a bigger picture to consider and often consequences to intervention that may be as bad or worse than doing nothing.

Ivanka getting a big bout of "feels" shouldnt factor into such decisions.
