Throw enough money into any race and you can raise your numbers up, I just hope they waste a lot more on these.
Completely agree. Who dates a woman for twelve years and does not get married?
Another way to put it: Trump over performs in small towns but underperforms in wealthy suburbs.
He over performs I beer districts and underperforms in wine districts
If it was the "First Woman President" thing that hurt Trump then Ossoff is in big trouble running against Karen Handel.
Yup.
In fact, from what I heard from Rush yesterday it seemed like the guy was campaigning as Trump Lite.
On June 8th this bozo will join the list of losers racked by the dunce party .
I suggest we support Karen Handel by sending her campaign money .
If the Dems and the media believe losing is winning, and they want to gloat about losing - I’m good with it.
Some more realistic levity!!!
John “Pajama Boy” Ossoff, the Obama, Lackey sat on a wall!!!
The Democrat Party, “Pajama Boy” had a great big fall!!!
All the King’s “Hollywood” deadbeat, nutcase, women & men,
all of the $12,000,000, thrown to the wind, could never, ever, put Jon “Obama/Clinton, Pajama Boy” back together again!!!
Folks in the Georgia, 6th Congressional District, take note that “The Pajama Boy Wonder” lost his first round shot at victory by 9,300 votes. Republican, Ms. Karen Handel will defeat him with ease come the June, 2017 runoff election!!!
Democrats...you folks need a new gig!!! The truth hurts sometimes....but, the truth is still the truth!!! A Trump “tweet” did your boy in last evening!!! On to Montana, in May, 2017, Republicans!!!
If he got about 48.5% in a field of 18, it unfortunately seems to me it will easy to pick up the extra 1.5% to win the runoff. Or do you think many of those who voted for him will switch to the (R), or not vote?
I hope I am not wrong...that would signal big probs for 2018...
The Republican party in Georgia better wake up fast.
The party left people like me and my family high and dry do not serve our interests. We will not be voting for ANY Republican incumbent again.
Ossoff worked 5 years with Dem. Congressperson Hank Johnson. The Guam theorist. Twiddley Dee and Twiddley Dumb.
At a quick glance, even on off year elections, Republicans have at least 140k votes in that district and 200k+ votes on a good year. Dems have 124k votes on the best of presidential election years. This seat is totally retainable, but will take a combined effort before June 8.
You can only vote in the runoff if you voted in the General Primary.
The Republican party better get their act together quick and knock this twerp down fast.
Very interesting to learn that The Daily Kos “selected” him to be a standard bearer for the lefts’ hopes and dreams. In the past the Democrats in major cities, especially New York, would select a young, upcoming liberal that they could control, and send them elsewhere across the US to a safe district that “needed” a Democrat they could get behind.
And be totally controlled by the big city Democrat machine.
Rep. Martin Frost was my Congressional representative in Texas. While a nice enough guy in his public persona, he was a reliable vote for whatever scheme the Democrats concocted.
Every election there would be a new contract for the big union shops a Lockheed and the Arlington GM plant, and he got to present the check in front of reliable media.
“Selected, not elected” is the slogan for a whole host of mobbed up Democrat politicians throughout the 20th century.
In many ways, the Ossoff race is a unicorn for Democrats an exotic species they wont see again soon. The 12-week special election attracted far more qualified GOP candidates than the district could reasonably absorb. Had 11 Republicans not chosen to run, its unlikely Ossoff would have rocketed to the top of the early polls ahead of every Republican as he did.
The 2017 timeframe also meant that Ossoff had the attention of the entire national grass-roots ecosystem focused on him alone. Would he have popped so quickly with 434 other House races and 33 Senate races all happening at the same time? Probably not...
😂😂
And there you have it. The Demon Rats had ONE job: pull this numbskull over the finish line. They had MILLIONS of dollars. They had HOLLYWEIRD kooks cutting commercials for him. They had a district where Trump only won by ONE POINT. And they only had THIS RACE on which to focus--nothing else across the nation.
They still FAILED.
I truly love knowing they're losing money.
This Beta Boy still lost despite Republican incompetency at every level! LOSER!
You make a good point. He got close and this isn’t over. They are trying to claim he put in 5 million. I call BS on that. I’m betting it was outside money laundered through him. If it’s known you’re being funded by Hollwood etc that will kill you. The GOP better help or this punk could pick up the 2% he needs.
“Or do you think many of those who voted for him will switch to the (R), or not vote?”
The right question is whether the combined GOP vote was greater or smaller than the Ossoff vote.
It was greater.
The GOP candidate will now raise money and presumably blast Ossoff out of the water.
In the first round the GOP candidates were more concerned about beating eachother than taking the fight to Ossoff.
“It is still way too soon to be claiming canonization for this Jon Ossoff in the panoply of saints for the ideological Left.”
True. But I think that they’re trying to (artificially) create an appearance of “rising stars” in the rat party because all of their current “stars” are old faces, old news, and no new blood on the horizon, at least not organically. So they’re trying to energise all those young voters who either went with Sanders or didn’t vote at all, by artificially pumping up “new faces” and “rising stars”.
