Excellent thoughts Larry. As usual, the usual idiots still can’t figure out how President Trump thinks.

Thank you.

Real nice article. Sounds like a partial government shutdown is the tool Trump needs to get what he wants.

Great! Bring it on. Go Trump Go!

The great fear of Leftists is that the government gets shut down and we don’t care.

“every excuse to slash funding to sanctuary cities”?

The media has already defined the game. The shutdown is over INCREASED spending on the wall. I am one of many conservatives who see the wall as a yuge waste of money.

Trump is not cutting spending. He is transferring spending from waste A to waste B. So far, the media has the upper hand in this story.

It will be interesting to see if Trump can win this media war.

If the government shuts down, does that mean they will no longer take money out of my paycheck for taxes?

A top-down shutdown would be nice, but I’d rather see a bottom-up shutdown.

I seem to remember recently reading of Spain not being able to arrive at a budget for a very long time (could be through to today, even) and the people were/are doing BETTER without their government working.

Folks, if it's “non-essential,” it's not needed.

All of the non-essential and 80% of the “essential” is NOT NEEDED.

When Jesse Ventura was governor of Minnesota, the Senate was a Democrat, the representatives were Republican. Ventura submitted his budget, and Congress weren’t that government would be shut down. “I don’t care. “He said. “You guys figure it out, I’m going fishing for the weekend. “

Everyone in Congress realized that Jesse Ventura was not the type of guy you wanted to play a game of chicken with on something like this. I believe Trump is the same times 10.

Great article by LS.

The libs and their mediot buddies don’t understand how Trump and his people work!

Also, their negative fake news stories and Pelosi/Schumer whining via their media has zero impact on Trump’s voters.

I agree with the premise of this article. I actually think it works out quite well and unlike Ds, Trump won’t start with services that normal people will squeal the most about

They LIVE IN FEAR BECAUSE THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR JOBS.

The way they voted re: the obamacare repeal before AND after Trump made that glaringly obvious.

Mobilizing federal employees to police their “shutdown” at parks and landmarks = community organizing Part 1.

The government was just shut down yesterday and everything works okay. Every weekend it shuts down. Make Congress a part time no salary job. I'd love to see some of these evil hacks walking the mean streets of their districts such as Mad Maxine Waters, Jared Huffman, Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein.

Get em out of their damned comfort zone. Bring back the patriots! Drain the swamp!

In the past, government employees still got their paychecks. In a true shut down, all government dollars should be frozen and not handed out after it is over. Stop their paychecks and tell them it’s because they blew the money. Next time they’ll be more careful with the department’s money.

Shut it down. Then keep it shut down for a good, long time until Trump gets what he wants. No biggie.

Why would any “conservative” be nervous about a government shutdown? The mostly unconstitutional $4 trillion federal government is America’s greatest political problem, threatening our freedoms and blocking the recovery of our Free Constitutional Republic.

I don’t want much to do with politically nervous “conservatives” - they’re generally controlled by the left and end up in the Leftist camp anyway - like much of the GOP.

Let freedom-lovers on the Right have some backbone and be bold, trusting God, not man, for our future and well being. We would MOSTLY be better off with a government shutdown since the feds are MOSTLY unconstitutional, and, therefore, illegal and tyrannical.

Who knows, maybe this could be a way for Trump to tell the officials, bureaucratic heads, and workers of the unconstitutional Regulatory (Administrative) State to not come back. That would be the greatest political event in America in 100 years. Throw in a few unconstitutional cabinet departments as well, like the Dept of Energy, Education, and Labor. Dancing in the streets.
