Marine Le Pen bested her fathers 17 percent Second Round performance in 2002 big time with 38 percent this time around.

The MSM can do its victory dance for tonight, but Marine was on the dance floor with her supporters dancing in defeat, and why not....

She has formed an alliance with another party that has a Gaullist identity and this will continue into the parliamentary elections next month.

The FN’s two seats will grow next month and Marine may be elected to the National Assembly this time around.

Her niece is waiting in the wings as well, 27 years young.

Macron is sure to shaft working people and mess up France’s security situation by allowing open borders in obedience to his Corporatist masters.

> It’s horrible to contemplate that in the end they may have died in vain. <

Yes, I thought about that exact same thing. Those Frenchmen - and those Belgians, and those Dutchmen - those who lived through the Nazi occupation and then the Allied liberation...they are a fast-disappearing population.

Their children - and their grandchildren - know nothing of fascism. And so they allow fascism back into their country.

But I suppose some still remember. Check out this short video (1.5 minutes). Trust me, it’s well worth your time.

In fact, the French are terrified by the principles of freedom, individual liberty, capitalism, free enterprise, and limited government. Just as with Le Pen Senior a dozen or so years ago, they like to flirt with the idea of conservative leadership but in the end pull out all the stops and cheat as necessary to keep the liberal elite ruling class in power.

I was there when Le Pen the Father made it to the runoff and grown men were behaving like spoiled children over the possibility of him winning, offering no substantive reason other than non-stop cursing and childish epithets.

Pretty much like how the Left acts towards Trump.

Some time in the future, we may be at war with them. One false move and we blow them to smithereens. As for now, if the French won’t even vote for the security of their own country, why should American tax payers pay to guarantee it?

I think this is a pyrrhic victory for Soros et al at best and will only cause the powerful forces arraigned against him to take more ruthless and aggressive action. The anti-islamic forces will never let France’s nukes fall into the hands of Muzzies. The stakes are high and the NWO’s enemies will pull out all the stops now.

I believe that the little boy who was saluting the Canadians (post #42) is Belgian. He understands. But most Europeans today don’t.

To my way of thinking, that makes Fox = CNN.

Fox News no longer exists. It has been replaced by Murdoch News.

All good points. This is a setback. Not the end.

The major French parties are the Socialists and the Republicans, the party of Charles DeGaulle. The Socialists became unpopular so Macron left them and started his own party. In fact, his support is from the media elites. Macron’s plan was to run against the un-electable Le Pen.

Macron and LePen very narrowly won the first round because the Republicans failed to rally behind Fillon. Some Republicans hope to make a deal with Macron. It all depends on the Parliamentary elections coming up in June. If the Socialists and Communists win a majority, he will rejoin the Socialists. If the Republicans win a majority, he will seek a deal with them.

Did anyone expect anything else? France isn’t actually the first to get it, you know?
They always have to be dragged into the right thing or have their butts pulled out of the fire. Don’t look for France to be a bold independent trend setting in EU. HA! They bend over every chance they get.

The left and the Islamists have a common enemy - western civ and Christianity. They are currently allied in their goal to destroy it. Once they achieve their goal then they will turn on each other for the final battle. Not unlike what the US and the USSR did with their common enemy, the nazis, and then with each other.

It’s not clear who would win that war. Today the Islamists would probably be considered the favorites, but I would not sell the leftists short. History has proven that they can be as ruthless and murderous as anyone.

Picture didn’t show up as large as I intended. The pic is of Macron groveling at Merkel’s feet.
