I have said for some time you will either get Trump’s agenda-—most of the illegals cleared out, no Paris, no TPP, mega economic growth-—or you will get MAYBE one of them in jail. You won’t get both. The size of the struggle and the lack of allies in the House and Senate (not to mention the Deep State FBI/CIA) are so great that Trump/Sessions “might” get one if that’s all they did for four years.
So am I “ok?” I guess it depends on your definition of ok. I would gladly trade Cankles’ conviction for all the former things. She will eventually go away. No, the “rule of law” won’t be destroyed. But if we allow illegals in, sign on to Paris, etc, then there will never, ever be a rule of law.
No, I don’t think we’ll “get them” years from now. The only time is in the next year if SOME of these investigations go where they need to go. But actually convicting one of them would cause a civil war that makes the current “resist” thing look like a peace rally.
Ok, well if that is all you expected then I guess YOU will be happy. You didn’t mention REPEALING Obamacare or building the wall. These were cornerstones of his campaign. Also the idea of draining the swamp seems more or less like you’re willing to admit defeat when Trump should be exposing it and Sessions going after them like a pitbull unless “he” is part of it which I suspect he is, which is why he will take the road you are suggesting like ditching the Paris deal and TPP. Mega economic growth was sort of expected as anything that was not Obama in the sense of sabotaging our own country would show huge economic gains just by Obama not trying to kill America by a thousand cuts. I and others think if we let these treasonous criminals skate then all other bets are off and his presidency will be picked apart by the leftists and media.
The wall will be built. Bids are coming in now. I think it will be built with or without funds designated by Congress (although I expect that to happen).
I didn’t admit defeat or anything like it. I said you had a choice. No administration can do everything. Reagan learned early on that he could not balance the budget and grow the economy and defeat the Soviets. He got two of three.
Yes, without Congress Trump must take the road I’m suggesting. There is no other road. I’d like you to explain to me how he can do anything else if Congress doesn’t appropriate the money for his programs.
Absolutely, NO. Mega economic growth was NOT expected. Just two weeks ago, the Atlanta Fed was still saying economic growth might be 1%. Then they suddenly changed it to 3.7%, then to 4.2%. Nobody but Trump’s people has claimed anything over 4% was even possible.
As to what happens to these “treasonous criminals,” who knows, but anyone who deserts Trump, by far the MOST SUCCESSFUL PRESIDENT EVER in his first 120 days and already on track to be one of the greatest ever (especially WITHOUT any support), well, I have no words.
