I thought Canadians were rugged with brains.
What do you make of them electing this poofter?
A lot of them are probably grumbling that they can’t get anything better from government, so they might as well get a handout.
Trump seems like one of those entertaining sorts that would be a blast to hang out with...
I wouldn’t say “court jester” - that seems like a put-down - did you mean it that way?
My opinion of Trudeau has just gone up. I bet it went down in the liberal circles.
Canada has a very large, proportionally speaking, South Asian (read Pakistani and Bengali Muslim) population. We may not need a wall but it’s prudent to keep a close eye on that border too.
As Sir Winston Churchill once said, "Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put."
Note that Canada has a multi-party parliamentary system, so the total vote is always fractured among many parties .... so every PM is typically elected with only about 40% of the vote, meaning 60% of the country never voted for him. If you look at the map, most of Trudeau Jr.’s votes came from the leftist inner cores of big cities, Quebec, and the welfare-dependent Maritimes. He’s not that popular in rural Ontario or Western Canada, and in fact most of us out here consider him an idiotic wimp.
But the blind squirrel found a chestnut today, give him that.
Wouldn’t it be nice if Canada had an electoral college.
The rural areas would have a more proportional say over who rules them.
Canada should consider adopting the US Constitution.
Didn’t he also say “I’d rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.” ???
I think most of the population of Canada is in the cities, which is where liberals dominate.
“What Ive found from this president is: he will listen to arguments made, he will look at the ensemble of facts and proposals he will be open to shifting his position.
Despite their differences, Trudeau said, Ive always found that whenever he has made an engagement to me or a commitment to me on the phone or in person, he has followed through on that. And thats someone you can work with.
Sounds fine to me. He listens. He considers. He can change his mind. He’s reliable. His word is good.
Why is there a problem? Oh: because the liberals didn’t want to hear that. They wanted a dishing session. Too bad for them.
Is America better off with more diplomatic and economic allies or fewer?
Is America better off with an economically strong Canada, which happens to be your largest export market, or an economically weaker Canada, which can't afford to buy as many US products?
When was Mexico ever a friend or good neighbor to the US?
