They presume life comes from nothing because they want it to be true.
“Nothing comes from nothing,
and nothing ever can.”
- Julie Andrews, Sound of Music
Assuming there isn’t an expiration date on all civilizations, entire galaxies worth of stars should be fading away as their citizens build Dysan swarms.
And then you get to the multiverse and the possibility that other universes exist, but we could never perceive.
Do they exist if we cannot perceive them?
If there is a planet in our own universe with intelligent life that is 11 billion light years away, does it really exist in our own reality?
A long time ago, in galaxies far, far away (and also in our galaxy), intelligent civilizations rose and created plenty and wealth that fostered ever larger groups of lazy leftist liberals who then created chaos and destroyed those civilizations before they could reach out to other possible civilizations. Conservatives build, liberals destroy. Looks like we may meet the same fate. The end.
There is no evidence of life anywhere else. You know the old Dilbert cartoon that says, “Studies have shown that accurate numbers are no more useful than the ones you make up.” “How many studies?” “Eighty-seven.” They are made up numbers.
to believe this you don’t have to disbelieve God, this is Gods work.
Actually, if we can detect planetary atmospheres from interstellar distances, and if we detect an oxygen-rich atmosphere, then I would posit plant life, and probable animal life.
If we detect interstellar radio waves with a decodeable signal, I would conclude technological life. When we first detected stars, astronomers first wondered if that was a signal, but quickly went through the equations and the locations. Neutron stars became Occam’s choice.
That’s a grant I should have applied for.
How do we know its huge ?
The vast majority believe that we are not unique, singular and alone in this universe... And they also believe there was another shooter on the grassy knoll in Dallas on November 22nd, 1963. They are wrong on both points.
I choose God, too. But why did God create that huge Universe?
...
It didn’t start off huge.
Carl Sagen went through all this years ago.
We are most likely alone.
Because the Man designed it that way.
God is infinite....
“How do we know its huge” ?
To us it is huge.
A swimming pool is huge to an ant. A swimming pool is not huge to an elephant.
BINGO!
You missed the point completely
That’s right. Right now we have no evidence that we know of.
What’s the point?
