My pet peeve is that “narcissism” is used as a synonym for “egomania”. The latter is how one might see someone like Trump, as indeed the expectation to personally prevail in every situation is almost a requirement for the Presidency.
I do agree that Obama fits better into the mold of narcissism. His role was largely passive, as he was a “picked man”. His ascendancy to the Presidency was really an incredible thing, but of course you will find no hint of this in press coverage at any level, since they were part of the apparatus ... in fact the mainstay of it.
Just as a footnote, I’ll comment on the enigma of “Obama at Columbia”, for which there is barely a trace. In contrast to this, if we can recall “Hillary Care”, its architect was Ira Magaziner, who was president of the class of 1969 at Brown University. ( “Nobody screws the class of ‘69” was his catch phrase. ) He went far! But not as far as the phantom, the shadow, that is Obama.
Remember all their critical concerns about Soetoro? His college records, fake BC. His foreign policy disasters? Remember how they fretted about that?
Yeah, me neither. Blow it out your obama.
We got all morally dudgeoned and steamed when we should have just pushed back and said what a bunch of maroons and morons.
