>> This seems to be a case if entrapment with the DOJ and Hillary’s campaign colluding with Russia <<

Could well be.

Moreover, the KGB (a/k/a FSB) is expert at setting up situations where they can later blackmail somebody.

Therefore, the Russians may have viewed the Trump Tower meeting as an entrapment scheme to generate rumors and even facts that they could use later to blackmail the Trump family. Don Jr. may have walked right into a classic KGB trap.

If so, maybe Russian operatives might now be leaking certain stories to the MSM as payback for Papa Trump’s failure to do Russia’s bidding. We can only hope that worse is not to come.

How in the world is that collusion?

Intent...you know, the one thing that was missing from all of Hillary's escapades... the email server, the destruction of evidence, the quid pro quo on selling Uranium to Russia, the lying about Benghazi (not to mention the incompetence), the Ukrainian election collusion, and many more.

You see... Hillary may have committed hundreds of felonies, but she never INTENDED to. Trump allegedly intended to get dirt on Hillary, but didn't.

Therefore... according to liberals: Trump guilty, Hillary innocent.

Krauthammer has been a totally unreliable source of political guidance right from the day Trump won the GOP nomination.

Way before that

Good God, you are dumb.

It is not the Logan Act I am talking about.

I said it hinges on the definition of “Of VALUE”

I am not arguing that he received something “OF VALUE” .

I am saying that is what lawyers are arguing and I referenced Turley. He likely knows more than you that is for sure.

Someone has posted another person on this thread.

I have no opinion on it. I just know that is what is being argued.

read the statute because you clearly don’t know what you are talking about..and for this..JR IS NOT A PRIVATE CITIZEN and is governed by this law

52 USC 30121, 36 USC 510

I am not saying it is “of value” . I have no opinion.

I am saying that is the argument and legal scholars have different views on the matter.

Btw, to be clear...Turley is arguing AGAINST it being “of value”

But the argument being discussed among lawyers is “OF VALUE”..despite Freedumb2003 pretending it’s not.

I wouldn’t know. Anytime Krauwhimper is on I either FF through him, or shut it off completely.

yup! you got it, everybody plays for and/or roots for a team, Krauthmmer was for the other team, Cruz I think... and he has to make a living, so he can’t be construed as rooting for the Trump team, especially in a politically correct environment where he makes his living, to go against the establishment would take Trump sized balls, which he apparently does not have..

Krauthammer should join his NeverTrump friends at CNN. Krauthammer is a jerk as are most at CNN.

He is a private citizen — this is an attempt to somehow say he solicited a foreign campaign contribution. As I said, the laws have to with finance.

This attempt is stretching that law to point of “what is is.”

That changes not his status. Let us say you were hired to be on a campaign and then met with someone from Mexico who said they had dirt on your candidate’s opponent. You would still be very much a private citizen.

The same is happening here.

Nothingburger.

Peters is a typical neocon wanting us in never-ending war. Tired of him yelling about Russia when the U.S. is allies with countries far worse than Putin right now - Saudi Arabia comes to mind.

China suffers no consequence from us despite their stealing our technology, hacking our computers, expanding their territory, and going to economic war with our companies. They also back North Korea - whatever they tell us - and prop up that dictatorship and supply him with nuke technology. China is a far great threat to us than broke ass Russia. Where’s the yelling and screaming?

Well, as Freud might have said, sometimes a meeting with a woman who happens to be a Russian and claims to have information obtained from the Russian government is just a meeting with a woman who happens to be a Russian and claims to have information from the Russian government - and not “collusion with the Russians”.....

Did you catch the look on his face when Laura Ingraham took Charles to task on this very topic on Bret Baier special report show last week? He was quite taken aback by her nerve! Does anyone really listed to what Chuckie has to say any more?
