>> with a lawsuit involved, the defendant’s can subpoena the DNC servers to see if their ‘fake news’ story was true <<

Yes, but two can play the subpoena game during discovery.

Therefore, would FNC’s lawyers and insurance carriers advise Fox to go thru a discovery process that might have virtually no limits on what the plaintiffs might subpoena?

I say, “No, not at all.” Therefore, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if the case goes to settlement in a Scaramucci NY minute.

And a spokeswoman for Washington's Metropolitan police department says "MPD stands behind its original assertion that Seth Rich was the victim of a botched armed robbery."

cause nothing was taken...brilliant detective work.

Or can’t speculate who does an ‘armed robbery’ without taking anything? Seth had a gold chain on her normally wore which was not stolen. In D.C.! Seth was alive when found and the police body cam evidence has never been released.

There were over a dozen cameras in the area. Where’s the footage?

Seems like to defend that suit Fox can actually investigate this case and prove what happened.

I agree. The proof is in its wordiness. They are really trying hard to explain away the whole thing. But nobody reads an article that long.

The Ministry of Propaganda does not want anyone asking,

“Who Killed Seth Rich For Leaking The DNC E-Mails?”

"The story, which first aired in May, was retracted by Fox News a week later. Fox News has, to date, taken no action in response to what it said was a failure to adhere to the network's standards."

They retracted the story, what else are they supposed to do? Oh, fire Hannity, I get it. That's what this is all about. I smell David Brock.

A few more notes:

1. Hillary actually met with Seth’s parents on her campaign tour. I guess she promised them she’d “get to the bottom of it.”

2. Though over half a million has been pledged to find the killers, the DNC or Hillary have pledge nothing. They haven’t hired private detectives. All they’ve done is dedicate a bike rack to Seth Rich. Yes, a bike rack.

3. KimDotCom says he was contacted by “Panda” (Seth’s nickname and online pseudonym) about the DNC leaked emails prior to Seth’s murder. He offered to provide IP / contact info to the FBI and agreed to testify in the U.S. if allowed to leave once he does (limited immunity).

4. A family member (a cousin) said he believed the killing was a planned murder and was asked to be silent about it by Seth’s brother.

Agree.

Wheeler just this past week implied the Awan brothers are in some way connected with Seth’s murder.

Did Seth expose them? Did they expose Seth as the leaker?

All speculation.

Jake Tapper retweeted this and lots of CNN stooges were happy. But some commented that there must be something coming on the investigation, maybe Awan IT info. Will be interesting. As you say, why do they bring more attention to the murder. He was murdered and this was a story before Hannity/Wheeler.

“No kidding. Look at the length of that article.”

Exactly. First clue.

Go to 2:30.

Here’s Wheeler on Hannity’s show saying exactly what he claims he didn’t say in his lawsuit.

He’s on national TV saying the ‘false quotations’ attributed to him.

This lawsuit is a joke.

But CNN is already running with it as a big story. Again, tactical error!

"Fox's president of news, Jay Wallace, told NPR Monday there was no "concrete evidence" that Wheeler was misquoted by the reporter, Malia Zimmerman. The news executive did not address a question about the story's allegedly partisan origins. Fox News declined to allow Zimmerman to comment for this story."

Notice the quotes around the words "concrete evidence," which suggests that this is somehow a dubious expression or an evasion? Moreover, as explained in the article, the lawsuit seems utterly baseless. And NPR is suddenly questioning a story because it allegedly has "partisan origins"? Ha ha ha. Half the stories that come out of DC have partisan origins. The whole Russia story has partisan origins. As I recall, Wheeler is the one who reported the story on Fox, so what's his beef? No one put a gun to his head.

The NPR is trying to make it out that everything about questions over Seth’s death comes only via Fox news and Wheeler. That premise is false and shows the report as a continuation of deep state attempts to distract attention from Seth and any role he might have had in the release of the trove of DNC emails (not “hacked”, but copied from inside the DNC and passed to third parties to be “leaked”).

"He’s on national TV saying the ‘false quotations’ attributed to him."

Correct. The lawsuit is indeed a transparent joke as a legal matter, but I think the real target is Hannity. They are trying to pressure Fox into doing "something further" about this story, i.e., get Hannity fired because he is the media's number one Trump defender.

How can they sue the president for SPEAKING.

Even if he’s wrong (and he’s not) even if he did it (and I don’t think he did) what’s the crime? The first amendment protects his right to speak his mind.

The only fake news here is this lawsuit which should be summarily dismissed with prejudice for wasting the courts time.
