I figure if Hannity and Tucker leave Fox, the news channel would dry up in 6 weeks.
Those two, Hannity and Carlson, are really about it for Fox anymore.
And hopefully Laura soon.
I swiched from the WIFI internet connection to Compact business, which is even more powerful than their standard
System. I took my D- Link AC 1200 System into my office where my new router is. After the new internet system was installed. I pushed the D Link 1200’s wps button and in a few minutes the D link 1200 was working.
I then took it into our family room, removed the Infinity box and connected a D Link ethernet directly to our Fire TV and plugged it in.
From the Amazon Fire TV, I ran an HDMI cable to the HDM1 slot on my Vizio Smart TV.
Then I turned on the power see comments below. With a couple of minutes the Fire Tv came on with my prepaid Sling.
Everything is working great. Our picture is great and there is no pausing/stuttering or causing the system to stutterk black out or reboot during baseball games and other uses. That was a common problem with our Roku 2.
We use Amazon Prime TV by itself or through Sling TV.
WE use Sling TV for the Giant baseball games and other stations. We use the 2nd level of Sling plus $5 extra for ABC, $5 for CBS. and 5$ for PBS. We had to go to the second level to add on the ABC for my wife to watch Kelly and ??.
My wife has told me to cancel the ABC and the extra Sling package as Kelly only has liberal Follywood or Broadway people on. That will save about 15 to $20 per month.
Both Sling and the Amazon Fire are first are somewhat confusing to find shows that you watched and search for new possibles.
Both systems have a fairly good learning system, and what you watched before you turned it off will most of the time be at the front of your queue line up.
There is no on off switch on the Amazon Fire remote so they can listen through their Alexa. So I plugged the Fire TV into a circuit breaker box. When we are through watching tv, we flick the off switch on the circuit breaker and then we can use the Vizio remote to turn off the tv. The remotes became inactive when the Fire Tv is active.
We reverse the process when we want to watch tv.
If you don’t want to use Amazon Fire TV, You can use Roku or something similar. We were not happy with Roko due to problems streaming sports and other action live video.
We have some 30 something relatives living in a major SW city and their Comcast bill had gone out of sight. They wanted Fox Business and a few Faux shows. I recommended Utube’s system and get a good indoor tv antenna for the local stations not covered by You Tube’s streaming system.
They bought a $50 indoor antennae at Walmart and get about 20 local stations. They went to Comcast business internet for streaming and they are very happy and saving over a $100/month. Their kids get all of the local junk tv for kids under 12. The adults can watch local college and pro teams for free on the local channels.
Try You Tube TV. You can get Faux and Fox Business
She sure do have a purdy mouth.
Thanks......
Let me know what you decide to do.
With the usual August nothing on normal TV evenings, we have really utilized our Amazon Prime/Acorn, its concert channels and the PBS and its Master Piece Theater.
Friends whose homes are not blocked by hills, mini mountains, trees and buildings are buying good indoor antennaes or having outdoor antennaes installed for the near by free channels and are using Amazon’s Fire Tv for 80- 95% of their tv watching. They saving any where from $100 a month to $200 per month. You have to have a good and fast internet service. We are getting that with Comcast business.
