Spent some time in Crown Heights, yes. My father wanted me to be a rabbi. I flew fighter jets, instead. “Apikoros” was uttered a few times in the household.

It was two white guys, one a ginger.

They were pretty polite about it, but firm. And the crime was “Incitement to Public Riot” or something similar. They drove me to the police station, hassled me, then sent me out the door about 5 miles from where I wanted to be, with strict instructions to wear a baseball cap outside (which they “kindly” provided).

I threw the cap away after about a block and before entering the tube.

Pretty surprising from where I stand.I would have been less surprised if either of the cops were of "South Asian" origin due to their pretty well established animosity toward certain people who are unlike them.Of course it's not just South Asians who harbor certain animosities.

As for the points made in this piece I wonder if the presence in Britain of many people hostile to Western values might be a facor.

And BTW...I know that in Britain "ginger" has two meanings.May I assume that the cop involved wasn't a fair skinned redhead?

He could have been gay, I suppose. I have no idea. But he had a bright red crew cut and mustache, and it is to that I was referring.

I’m Israeli, not English. I was there on business. I travel around most all the world, seeing “exotic” locations like White Sands Missile Range, Columbus, MS, and the like.

Europe, in general, is a bad place to be Jewish.
