Excellent point. We need to uncover their funding sources. If they are traceably funded by Soros, he needs to be indicted and charged with sedition. They are advocating for the overthrow of the US government. We also need to know who they are, and not let them hide their hate behind those masks.
I believe the reason all of this is happening now is that the left legitimately see Trump and the movement he's fueled as a very real threat to the silent coup they've been orchestrating against the US for many decades. They (the far left) had been successfully ‘transforming’ the US while flying beneath the radar for a long time.
Recently, starting with the Obama administration, they were becoming so confident with their perceived inevitable victory (which they'd come to believe was finally at the ‘unstoppable’ stage), that they were actually starting to become less stealth and more open about their efforts. They strongly believed that the shifting demographics in US society, the effects of the messages they'd propagated via their targeted use of media, academics, and the entertainment industry, and their infiltration of the political process had gone so far as to have pushed the transformation of the US to the point of no return. They were becoming more and more emboldened.
They didn't think it was possible, but Trump started a movement that has essentially awakened a huge swath of the American public from their despair and resignation over what they too had accepted as the inevitable destruction of the America they recognized and loved. At first the left laughed at the idea of Trump. Now they fear and despise him and all who support him, because they now know and can't deny that the tables are turning and it is they who are the endangered ‘species’ now in American society.
Maybe Sessions could get off hiss ass and be bothered to find out who that "someone" is. If that "someone" is very, very rich, maybe freeze all of his assets. If' he's wanted for crimes in other countries, maybe allow them to extradite hi - just for starters.

About the CWII Ping List
The CWII Ping List is short for Civil War II. It is NOT a list of people advocating another Civil War in America. It is a list of people who are interested in the parallels between the Civil War (or War Between the States, if you prefer) and our current situation, or more generally are noting the references to a 'coming Civil War' that are made in the press.
Of course sometimes this is merely a figure of speech, such as "The Tea Parties are fighting a civil war for the heart of the GOP". This would not merit a CWII ping.
On the other hand someone saying something like "The events in California are reminiscent of what happened in Yugoslavia in the period proceeding the Civil War" would merit a ping.
FR rules do not permit advocating for the overthrow of the Republic, and I am not aware of anyone doing so on the list. Still many do see that as the political climate worsens we may be heading in a direction that makes such a conflict all but inevitable, particularly if other avenues for resolving our differences are taken away. Such as widespread vote fraud by leftists making elections meaningless, or a small cadre of judges over-ruling all attempts to end destructive policies over the clear will of the people.
