Run them through extended basic training. And I mean, EXTENDED.
And that’s just the student body at Berkeley.
Why? Hand them a suggested diet and exercise routine and tell them to come back when they can meet the requirements. Let the economy weed them out!
But the part that bothers me is that a lot of the work nowadays is on a computer and not as active as it used to be. At least what earns a living anyways.
R.I.P. President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition?
Wait...you mean the military can exclude recruits for being obese? That’s discrimination I tell you! We can’t have that.
I have recently read that Recruits must Have an IQ of 85 or higher to be considered.
And this has become a huge problem.
Low-fat diets could raise the risk of early death by almost one quarter, a major study has found.
The Lancet study of 135,000 adults found those who cut back on fats had far shorter lives than those enjoying plenty of butter, cheese and meats.
....
Participants eating the highest levels of carbohydrates particularly refined sugars found in fizzy drinks and processed meals faced a 28 per cent higher risk of early death.
During follow-up, we documented 5796 deaths and 4784 major cardiovascular disease events. Higher carbohydrate intake was associated with an increased risk of total mortality (highest vs lowest quintile category, but not with the risk of cardiovascular disease or cardiovascular disease mortality. Intake of total fat and each type of fat was associated with lower risk of total mortality ; saturated fat, monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat. Higher saturated fat intake was associated with lower risk of stroke. Total fat and saturated and unsaturated fats were not significantly associated with risk of myocardial infarction or cardiovascular disease mortality.
Interpretation
High carbohydrate intake was associated with higher risk of total mortality, whereas total fat and individual types of fat were related to lower total mortality. Total fat and types of fat were not associated with cardiovascular disease, myocardial infarction, or cardiovascular disease mortality, whereas saturated fat had an inverse association with stroke.
Global dietary guidelines should be reconsidered in light of these findings.

I served with fat stoners and criminals back in the 80”s No big deal.
Well, that eliminates about half of a certain ethnic group.
Racisssss, I tell you.
We had a fatty in our company when I was in boot camp. Failed the PT twice.
He got mad, busted his ass, and finally passed.
Proud to have known him.
“70 percent of todays youth are not fit to serve in the military due to obesity or being overweight, criminal records, drug misuse or educational deficits.”
Perfect cannon fodder recruits as dumb-ass Nazis in infata.
“I have recently read that Recruits must Have an IQ of 85 or higher to be considered.”
No problem. They’ll get jobs in federal government. I can’t tell you how many dumb-ass turds I’ve dealt with in the federal bureaucracy.
Okay, I’ll relate one quick story. The CIA dumped one of their dumb-asses into our unit. After we determined that he would likely F up our mission, we called the local mamma-san.
She took him back to the village for some extended whoopie. I’d guess he went back to the US with at least six different strains of unknown VD.
A friend of mine’s grandson couldn’t get into the army because of his hearing. Army said they’re getting alot of kids whose hearing is too poor. Ear buds are bad news.
Losers?
Unfortunately their heads are filled with mush, too.
“And this has become a huge problem.”
It is only a problem because democrats cant easily yell racism without implying black people are unintelligent, quite a PR quandry for them
My step son is joining the Marines. We just had the recruiting Sargent out on Thursday. He told us the average score on the ASVAB of the kids in my area is 15!
