30 years ago, I’d have agreed with you. The Christian Arabs were more antisemitic than the Muslim — think Sirhan Sirhan, for example, who shot Robert Kennedy.
With the advent of radical Islam (or rather its new dominance), the Christian Arabs have become largely normal Israeli citizens, and typically join up to the IDF. (In fact, I believe they petitioned to be part of the draft. Not sure where that ended up. They could always volunteer, but wanted to follow the Druze example.)
Not on the list of approved weapons.
I carry the same (literally the same) 9mm that was/is my military sidearm.
M4 and Tavors are also permitted for home use. And some shotguns, in Judea/Samaria.

Warning shots are illegal, basically. If you use a firearm, you are assumed to use it for the worst idea.
It depends where you are. Some nations virtually require them. The are legal everywhere. Florida passed a law to prohibit prosecution for them if you faced a threat.
Some prosecutors praise people for using them.
There are plenty of potential problems with them, of course.
They are not generally recommended.
