Then-Rep. Xavier Becerra deliberately gave a false image of the “secret server” to the Capitol Police but was mysteriously not arrested. Instead, his fellow Democrats rewarded him handsomely.......he became Attorney General of California.

Imran's secret server was connected to the House Democratic Caucus, chaired by then-Rep. Xavier Becerra.

The executive director of the Democratic Caucus was Sean McCluskie, who was Democrat Becerra’s chief of staff.

McCluskie is now chief deputy attorney general of California alongside AG Becerra.

Check out article and comments, esp # 37.

Thanks, Liz.

Is the POS going to be prosecuted???????

This UNFORTUNATELY is the bugaboo to nearly ALL ILLEGAL activity inside the beltway.

NO ONE is EVER INDICTED or PROSECUTED.

There must be some sort of “Gentlemen’s Agreement” on this.

Because you are right.

If we had real Republicans, people dedicated to the cause of limited federal government, then the opportunities to commit these crimes would diminish.

There is a Constitutional question whether and how the Executive Branch (the DOJ and FBI) can investigate Congress. I don’t fully know the answer, but I believe that many in Congress are using Congressional equipment to commit crimes. The NSA may be able to capture the records, but it cannot be so simple that any judge would allow secret wiretaps of Congressional computers and phones.

The case happening now with the Awans only seems possible to me because the Awans were being investigated, and they had illegally removed the records. Thus, outside investigators were able to see transmissions. As I read the articles, the Capitol police and FBI are “asking” for the information to be turned over, the are not issuing subpoenas.

Thus, Bercerra probably thought he could get away with handing over a fake server, believing his official Congressional data was largely protected from criminal investigators. That’s my take, anyway. I could be wrong but there is a serious question: Who investigates Congress? Ostensibly, there is no Constitutional answer. The Executive cannot police the Legislative branch.

I really dislike this Becerra. The man just reeks of corrupt filth.

He committed another crime. Arrest him.
So far I see the criminals keeping their jobs and blocking criminal investigations that includes treason.

Donald Trump looking the other way.

Becerra must step down as AG. Talk about obstructing justice.

Nice find.......I certainly think that this section of Trump's order applies to the activities of Becerra.

(b) No individual listed in section 1 shall act as Attorney General unless that individual is otherwise eligible to so serve under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998.

Is there a gun to Sessions and Wray’s head or WHY won’t they do anything?

The only answer that makes sense is "they're all members of the same club."

Simply put.. they protect one another while they continue to screw the American taxpayers.

Xavier Becerra was appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown to serve out the remainder of the term to which now-Senator Kamala Harris was elected. Becerra is running for reelection. The (open) primary election is next June and then the general election will be in Nov. 2018.

All of this is true. But under California’s rather liberal recall provisions, he can be recalled by the voters of the state.

Xavier Becerra is being opposed in next year’s election by conservative Judge Steven Bailey. Judge Bailey promises he’ll refocus the office of the Attorney General on fighting crime and protecting California families. Judge Bailey’s campaign Facebook page is here: https://www.facebook.com/BaileyForAG/ and his website is here: https://www.baileyforag.com/ You may follow him on Twitter @BaileyForAG. Getting elected to statewide office as a Republican in California is an uphill battle these days. Judge Bailey have a shot at this one since there is such a gulf between Becerra’s leftist, anti-Trump agenda and the fundamental law-and-order concerns of most Californians.

I think most of Congress is guilty of the same thing and insider trading. I also think those intelligence services run the government and hold it in their hands so they can dictate. They have all the records, recordings and know all. The only way to clean our government up to is kick them all out but then the intelligence services still control.

Plausibly true. But you cannot blackmail honest people, or people who don’t have destructive secrets. This next generation that grew up on social media will live their lives a lot more openly because so much of their lives was documented online.
