“Mother Nature will continue to manage our planet ecosystem as she has for eternity, regardless of what the climate warriors think or say.”

It was no longer a hurricane, it was an extratropical cyclone when it hit.

What do these people make of Camille (1969)? Or the Long Island Express (1938)?
Or the Great Galveston Hurricane (1900)?

Or, for that matter, the Great Colonial Hurricane (1635)?

ManBearPig predicted that, after 2000, multiple destructive Atlantic hurricanes would occur EVERY YEAR, more and more.

There’s a reason they don’t teach formal logic OR science in school any more, and the reason is not that it’s too hard for Barbie.

“What if every year for the next 12 years, hurricanes the size of Harvey and Irma hit the Houston area, New Orleans, and the whole state of Florida?”

As far as Florida goes it might cause a depopulation of certain areas and a ban on manufactured housing in the Keys.

Second, if global warming is causing more superstorms, why is Hurricane Irma ranked only number seven in severity of storms to hit the US? The worst being in 1935, before SUVs existed and when air conditioners were a rare luxury.

Third, what is a “normal” hurricane season? The past few weeks? The past 12 years? Who defines normal? Given that recorded hurricane history is only a few hundred years old, how do we know what hurricanes were like 500 years ago? Or 5,000 years ago? Or 50,000 years ago?

Sheer joy watching a conservative take on the 'World's Ending' democrat hysterics...

There are no hurricanes November through May. hence an occasional hurricane early and late defines the season.

I will tell you what a huurrican was like during WW2.

I was aboard a merchant ship in a convoy of over 100 ships plus some Navy ships for protection.
Twenty five of us were Navy Armed Guards.

The seas had waves as high as 70 to 90 feet. For 3 days we had to tie ourselves to our bunks just to lie down with no thought of sleeping. We had no meals not even coffee.

The ship would hit one of those high swells and literally push the ship out of the water then hang for a few seconds and crash in the sea with several bangs that sounded like the ship would fall apart. The rolling from port to starboard was equally scary that we would tip over and never right itself. We finally reached port (1944) of Boston.
Then the hurricane slammed the city while we were docking.

There were no atheist in our cabin.

One only has to go to the weatherunderground.com website to see simple tables of hurricanes and their strengths for the years 1851-2017! Please remember when the damage costs are listed, they are NOT adjusted for inflation AND, 100+ million additional people are located on the Atlantic coasts or withing striking distance!

The drive that Irma did on Cuba changed her dramatically. The eye formation was changed dramatically and it never “recovered” back to the levels it had before that.

Except right along the coast, it was the storm surge that did most of the damage from Sandy.

Hurricanes are not man-made and never have been.

My dad served aboard Liberty Ships during WWII and recounted
how he feared the weather more than he feared the u-boats.
