More and more city councils will try this. But glad this was reversed. It’s pure evil by the party of evil.
the national attention certainly had something to do with the fact that this thing evaporated.
Absolutely.
So, was this abortive attempt by College Park good enough to make it the new City of Evil?
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
...and slowly realizing that the Supreme Court is going to knock down these unconstitutional edicts. Only one more SC Judge is needed to cement the voting block on the Court toward strict constructionist thinking.
Tucker Carlson had an excellent show on this last week along with someone from the community trying to make it sound logical, which they didn’t. The exposure helped bury it.
I am also totally against it that naturalized citizen could become presidents., and I am a naturalized citizen,
Sounds like it got a little hot for these bastards! Why else would a liberal back down.
Tucker Carlson was talking about this. He thinks (and I agree) that we will see more and more of this. Some council is going to get a super marjority. Once that happens, look for the some states to go for it.
I pray I’m wrong.
A temporary victory on a technicality. We need to kill this dead, bury it in a crossroads, and drive a stake through its heart. Let them elect a city council or whatever with non-citizens voting, and then sue arguing that a law or a tax passed by that council is invalid because the council was invalidly elected. Pay the tax and sue for a refund — make it hard for them to argue that you don’t have standing to sue.
California has been doing this for years. Where it was't legal it was ignored.
In this the author is wrong, the proposal doesn't dilute the meaning of citizenship, it annihilates the rights of existing citizens, be they natural born or naturalized.
By flooding the zone in the manner of the Arab Spring "refugee" invasion, with the final goal being one world subject to the whims and caprice of an unelected ruling body answerable to no one.
The muslim presence in Europe, especially in Germany and Sweden, now holds the invaders rights to be superior to those of the native born, whose resistance is deemed criminal by the very government they elected. Short rope and long fall...for all who betray their country.
Good article, but this isn’t about anything the Left advertises this as. Kind of a waste to argue points no one believes.
As we know, it’s about increasing the number of democrat voters. Once they win elections with an illegal immigrant society (their legal voting, no ID, no borders) in place, they’ll establish themselves in power for decades.
So, emphasize that it disenfranchises.
So they had kind of sabotaged themselves?
Get all the fools on your side and you got the majority in any town. Until somebody calls out that the Emperor has no clothes.
Logic and history are such sharp and painful instruments upon which to cut yourself. But only if they are applied.

The SCOTUS will knock tis down with extreme prejudice when it gets there. They espouse the logic that this is for only local elections.
When is somebody going to point out the obvious when during an election cycle how do they determine what ballots are for local only when they have local, state and federal races all on the same ballot?
Citizenship has always had requirements. My Swiss forebears landed in Philadelphia on Nov. 9, 1750. The colonies were still under British rule. These Swiss were Germanic people. Upon landing, they were immediately taken to City Hall, where they were “Certified”. They relinquished allegiance to any other entity, and swore allegiance to King George and the Crown of England. Heads of households each received warrant rights to 50 acres of land in York Township, York County, PA, from the Penns.
