Agreed.

The Magazine’s appear standards so I’m not sure these magazines fit the two weapons we see here.

another feature of the silver lower rifle is that the bolt release is on the left side of the receiver.

This tells me the shooter for that particular rifle is a lefty and didn’t have the habit of shooting left but using a weapon setup for right-handed shooter.

BUT there are TONS of places to shoot in the desert (and indoor ranges) in and around Vegas.

Not to mention that SHOT show happens there every year.
I don't know about NEXT year, though.
Flippin' hoplophobe SJWs will likely scream for it to be cancelled between now and then.

This happened in Tennessee. 4:00 am Eastern would have been 1:00 am Las Vegas Time. I guess it is possible for him to have seen the news and decided that he wasn’t going anywhere without being prepared. But no way is this guy an accomplice or whatever, having been in eastern Tennessee within 3 hours of the beginning of the attack in Las Vegas.

Years ago I was coming from shooting one time with my wife and we had a large amount of guns. Just outside of town I stopped at a lonely desert intersection with a stoplight and checked the time, 9:10 PM.

A few days later it came out in the newspaper that a drug ripoff had occurred. The buyers took the three sellers out to a lonely desert spot and executed them with shots to the back of the head. One was such a bad shot that even at that range, he only grazed a guy and he lived. That's how they knew what happened.

Anyway, it was less than 100 feet from that intersection and right about 9:00 pm. I wondered what I would have done had I hea rd those shots. Probably would have just thought it was kids shooting in the desert at night but it's interesting to think a major crime was occurring near me when I was more than well armed.

Yes, it may be full auto, but binary triggers also use the 3rd position. What is not in doubt is that it is a short barreled rifle as configured. If it is a legal full auto the under 16” barrel is not a problem. If he has no stamp for the SBR or full auto then he is looking a 2 counts of possessing a prohibited weapon just for that rifle alone. If you look above the selector there does appear to be a pin for the auto sear, although the perspective doesn’t really show it in the proper position, which is directly above the axis of the selector. I’m betting that Mr. Edmisten is in mucho trouble unless he has an SOT, which would allow him to possess post May ‘86 machine guns.

After 2 martinis, I ordered one of these last night.
Franklin Armory is getting swamped with orders.
They're at 8+ weeks for shipping now.

I am sick and tried of the news hounds & babes saying this "No one is saying you need to own 48 (or different number) weapons" crap!

How many legal weapons I own is nobody's damn business under the 2nd Amendment & 4th Amendment!

Or do the liberal bastards & bitches want to do away with the 4th also?

If so, come... and git 'em!

I’m not sure if serious killers would have bayonets.

Yeah. That's a picture of all his toys. So he may have been a Rambo wannabe. But the timing seems coincidental. Worth looking into.

Dan Bilzerian was apparently on the scene as well. They can find a cache like this in his underwear drawer.

I have a feeling a lot of people out in the desert have this sort of hardware.

It’s the newest thing!
As you drop the mags on the floor the rounds automatically load themselves back into the magazine.
Just don’t order the single shot ones. Because you can only put one bullet in the magazine at a time.

What happens when you put to much salt peter in your gunpowder.
The bullets are too soft to put in the rifle.

Agreed with all of your post. I tried to blow up the picture and it was too blurred to get focused. And I agree he may be in more trouble than he anticipated

True. I only posted because the guy seemed to be converting these to full auto at his home.

That bottom rifle looks like an SBR (short barreled rifle), probably a 10” barrel. Even if the brake was welded on it, there is no way that it’s the minimum 16” required for a rifle. Hope he has a tax stamp and paperwork.

Pistol ARs are legal in most states and depending on how the receiver was sold that gun may have been legal to use that barrel, the moment he put a stock on there, though, it became an SBR. He may lose his gun rights permanently for that act alone.

Man, that's just a trip to the range...

Or maybe he sells/displays stuff at a gun show. In other words... who cares that he had a bunch of stuff in his car, that's totally legal, and lots of good, perfectly fine explanations, including the lateness (earliness?) of the hour. Beating the traffic, ya know?

I'll reserve judgment until/unless they actually find out this guy was planning something, otherwise he's just some dude.

To: Thank You Rush

There are certain phrases in the conspiracy theory world that, to me, are instant markers of pure hokum. The second I see them in articles like this or hear them said in “documentaries” I know it’s garbage.

Some have said...
It is said that...
Has ties to...
Is believed to...
Is associated with...
Is thought to...

Then the statements following those phrases is used by the author as proof.

Maybe we can now add “court documents”.
