I really don’t see any. Perhaps we should consider doing away with the Senate altogether, since they are a complete roadblock to doing anything constructive for our country. And because there are so few of them, they are easier to “buy” than Congressmen.
Trump has every right to advocate for the public policy he thinks is best. His office is a political office. Advocacy is a big part of what he does.
It’s absurd to say he’s violating the Constitution by advocating for what he believes to be proper public policy.
If he issued an Executive Order or a Presidential Directive against a business, then yes. Short of either of those, the charge is silly.
Let’s contrast Obama advocating for people who were before the court as he spoke. Not a mention of Constitutional misconduct there. And in that case, it clearly was.
